Algaktiv EXOMETICS

This biotechnological ingredient uses an extract from freshwater microalgae grown under controlled conditions. The active ingredients are carried in vesicles similar to cellular exosomes and dispersed in a water-propanediol carrier with a mild solubiliser. It is a vegan biomimetic system designed to communicate with skin cells and support renewal.

Algaktiv EXOMETICS delivers lipid and protein signals from microalgae intended to support regeneration, elasticity, smoothness and a more even skin tone. The vesicular system protects the active contents and improves their contact with the skin. It contains neither human exosomes nor living cells. Its effect is cosmetic and depends on maintaining vesicle stability during manufacture, storage and application.

We recommend it for mature, tired, pigmented and dehydrated skin, or in restorative products for skin exposed to environmental stress. It may also be suitable for sensitive skin in a simple formulation. After invasive procedures, only a product designed and tested for this use should be applied, following a professional's advice.

The recommended use level is approximately 2 per cent, according to the technical data sheet. The ingredient is added during the cool-down phase under low shear to avoid damaging the vesicles.
