Cookie policy

In the LucyLab online shop, we use cookies and similar technologies that allow us to ensure the correct functioning of the website, the shopping cart and the user account. With your consent, we may also use them for analytical, functional and marketing purposes.

In this policy, we explain what cookies are, which categories we use, the purposes for which we use them, when we need your consent and how you can change your settings at any time.

1. Who operates the LucyLab online shop

The operator of the online shop and the controller of personal data is:

DULCIA natural, s. r. o.
Skalická cesta 9/A
831 02 Bratislava
Slovak Republic
Company ID: 44604572
Email: info@lucylab.com

LucyLab is a trade brand of DULCIA natural, s. r. o. The change of trade brand does not change the legal entity that operates the online shop and is responsible for the processing of personal data and the use of cookies.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small data files or pieces of information that a website may store on your computer, mobile phone, tablet or other device when you visit it.

On your next visit, this information can be read again. Thanks to this, the website can remember, for example, the contents of your shopping cart, your login, your language setting or your decision regarding the use of cookies.

Other technologies may work in a similar way, for example the browser's local storage, identifiers or technologies used to measure traffic and advertising campaigns. For simplicity, we refer to them collectively as cookies in this policy.

3. Legal basis for the use of cookies

When using cookies, we act in particular in accordance with Section 109(8) of Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on Electronic Communications, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council – the GDPR and Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on Personal Data Protection.

We use cookies that are not essential for the functioning of the website or for providing a service you have explicitly requested only after you have given your prior consent.

Merely visiting the website, continuing to browse it or ignoring the cookie banner is not considered consent to the use of optional cookies.

We may use essential cookies without your consent if they are needed solely for the transmission of communication over a network or are strictly necessary to provide an information society service you have explicitly requested.

4. How you give your consent

On your first visit to the online shop, a cookie management tool is displayed through which you can choose which categories of cookies you allow.

In particular, you can:

  • accept all optional cookies,
  • reject optional cookies,
  • set individual categories of cookies according to your preferences.

Optional cookies are not activated before the relevant consent has been given.

Consent is voluntary. Rejecting analytical, functional or marketing cookies does not prevent you from shopping in the online shop, although some additional features or personalised services may not be fully available.

5. How you can change or withdraw your consent

You can change your decision regarding cookies at any time.

The Cookie settings function is available on the website, allowing you to enable or disable individual categories later.

Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of the use of cookies and any processing of personal data carried out before its withdrawal.

6. Which categories of cookies we use

We divide cookies into several categories according to their purpose.

Essential cookies

Essential cookies ensure the basic functions of the online shop; without them, the website or some of its requested functions could not work properly.

They may ensure, for example:

  • the functioning of the shopping cart,
  • the correct progress of the order,
  • secure login to the user account,
  • protection of the website and prevention of misuse,
  • the correct functioning of the payment or ordering process,
  • saving your cookie choices,
  • the basic technical functioning of the online shop.

No consent is required for the use of cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have explicitly requested.

Functional and preference cookies

Functional cookies allow the website to remember your settings and provide enhanced or personalised features.

This may include, for example, remembering your language, region, chosen settings or other user preferences.

If a specific functional cookie is not essential for a service you have explicitly requested, we will use it only on the basis of your consent.

Analytical cookies

Analytical cookies help us understand how visitors use the online shop.

With them, we can find out, for example:

  • the number of visits to the website,
  • which pages and products are visited,
  • how visitors move between individual pages,
  • what type of device or browser they use to visit the website,
  • whether technical problems occur when using the website,
  • how we can improve the user experience and the functioning of the online shop.

We activate analytical cookies that are not essential only after you have given your consent.

Marketing cookies

We may use marketing cookies to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and to display more relevant advertising.

They may allow us or our marketing partners, for example, to:

  • evaluate whether a visit or an order was related to a specific advertising campaign,
  • measure the effectiveness of advertising,
  • limit repeated display of the same advertisement,
  • create advertising audiences or segments,
  • tailor the advertising content displayed to your likely interests.

We use marketing cookies only on the basis of your prior consent.

7. Cookies by storage period

Depending on how long they are stored, cookies may be:

Session cookies – these are used during a single visit or session and are usually deleted when you close your browser.

Persistent cookies – these remain stored on your device even after you close your browser until their set expiry period ends or until they are deleted.

The expiry period of individual cookies depends on their purpose and the specific provider. We state the current expiry period of individual cookies in the Cookie settings tool.

8. Cookies by provider

Depending on the entity that creates or manages the cookie, we distinguish between:

First-party cookies – these are set directly by the LucyLab online shop and are used mainly for its functioning and to provide its features.

Third-party cookies – these are set or managed by external providers of services we use, for example for analytics, marketing, technical functions or campaign measurement.

The specific list of cookies currently used and their providers is available in the Cookie settings tool.

9. What information cookies may contain

Depending on the specific cookie, the following may be processed, for example:

  • a randomly generated browser or session identifier,
  • your IP address or part of it,
  • information about your device and browser,
  • language and regional settings,
  • the time of your visit and the length of the session,
  • pages and products visited,
  • interactions with the content of the website,
  • the source of the visit,
  • data needed to evaluate an advertising or marketing campaign,
  • technical data needed to secure and operate the website.

The scope of the information depends on the specific technology and your consent settings.

10. Cookies and personal data

Not all information stored by means of cookies is necessarily personal data. However, if a cookie or the information obtained through it makes it possible to identify a specific natural person directly or indirectly, this constitutes processing of personal data.

If we process personal data through analytical, functional or marketing cookies on the basis of your consent, the legal basis for the processing is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

For essential cookies, the legal basis for any processing of personal data may depend on the specific purpose, for example the need to perform a contract, provide a service you have requested, secure the online shop or protect our legitimate interests.

You can find more detailed information on the processing of personal data on the Privacy policy page.

11. Third-party providers

To operate the online shop, we may use the services of external technology, analytics or marketing partners.

If storing a third-party cookie is necessary for a specific service to work, such cookies in optional categories are activated only after you have given the relevant consent.

The specific providers, cookie names, their purpose and storage period are listed in the current list in the cookie management tool.

Some providers may also process the data obtained through their technologies as independent controllers in accordance with their own privacy policies.

12. Transfer of data outside the European Economic Area

Some providers of technology, analytics or marketing services may also process data outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.

If the use of cookies involves the transfer of personal data to a third country, the transfer will only take place under the conditions laid down in the GDPR, for example on the basis of a European Commission decision on an adequate level of protection or using appropriate contractual and security safeguards.

13. Current list of cookies

As the technical solution of the online shop and the services used may change over time, we display the current list of specific cookies directly in the Cookie settings tool.

For individual cookies or technologies, we state in particular the following, based on the information available:

  • the name of the cookie,
  • the provider,
  • the purpose of use,
  • the category,
  • the expiry or storage period.

This way, you have up-to-date information even if the technologies used or their settings change.

14. Cookie settings in your web browser

You can also manage cookies through the settings of your web browser. In your browser, you can, for example, block cookies, delete cookies already stored or set rules for specific websites.

However, browser settings do not replace the option to give or withdraw consent through our cookie management tool.

If you block all cookies in your browser, including essential ones, some parts of the online shop may not work properly. For example, the functioning of the shopping cart, the user account or the ordering process may be limited.

15. How long we keep information about your choice

We keep information about your decision regarding cookies for the period necessary to demonstrate your choice and to ensure that we do not ask you about the same setting on every visit.

After the set period has expired, we may ask you to confirm your preferences again. We may also ask you for a new decision in the event of a significant change in the technologies used, the purposes of processing or the legal conditions.

16. Your rights

If we process your personal data by means of cookies, you have, under the conditions laid down in the GDPR, the following rights in particular:

  • access to your personal data,
  • rectification of incorrect or incomplete data,
  • erasure of personal data,
  • restriction of processing,
  • data portability, if the statutory conditions are met,
  • objection to processing based on legitimate interest,
  • withdrawal of consent, if the processing is based on consent,
  • lodging a complaint or request with the competent supervisory authority.

You can find detailed information about your rights and how to exercise them on the Privacy policy page.

17. Changes to the cookie policy

We may update this policy from time to time, in particular if the technologies used, service providers, purposes of using cookies or the relevant legislation change.

The current version will always be available in the LucyLab online shop together with the date of the last update.
