Visibly smooths wrinkles and restores radiance to the skin
A bestseller among face creams. This silky cream offers luxurious anti-wrinkle care that intensely hydrates, firms and visibly smooths the skin in one step, restoring its lost radiance. Hyaluronic acid replenishes the skin with moisture and softens wrinkles, coenzyme Q10 protects it from oxidative stress, and stabilised vitamin C helps promote a brighter, more even tone. Other active ingredients support the skin barrier, hydration and natural skin renewal. Its velvety texture absorbs quickly, turning daily application into a luxurious ritual. The result is visibly smoother, firmer and more radiant skin that looks more youthful and rested with regular use.
What the cream addresses
- Wrinkles and fine lines: visibly smooths them and helps improve skin elasticity. Hyaluronic acid binds water in the skin and plumps fine lines, Acmella oleracea flower extract firms the skin, and coenzyme Q10 protects it from free radicals that accelerate skin ageing.
- Dehydrated skin: replenishes moisture and helps prevent water loss from the skin. Niacinamide and Ectoin® natural support the skin barrier, helping the skin stay hydrated, more supple and smoother for longer.
- Tired-looking skin: restores radiance and a more even tone. Stabilised vitamin C evens out skin tone, while enzymes from pineapple help remove dead skin cells and visibly brighten the skin.
Who it is for
This luxurious silky anti-wrinkle face cream is suitable for normal, dry, oily and combination skin. The cream is particularly intended for:
- skin that is losing elasticity and showing wrinkles and fine lines,
- tired, dull skin lacking radiance,
- dehydrated skin with a weakened barrier,
- skin with fine lines and wrinkles that you do not want to deepen.
Key ingredients
- Hyaluronic acid: binds water in the skin and helps prevent moisture loss. In a study involving 76 women, after 60 days the cream visibly improved skin hydration and elasticity, while its low-molecular-weight forms measurably reduced the depth of wrinkles around the eyes.
- Vitamin C: brightens the skin, has antioxidant properties and helps promote a smoother, more supple appearance. The cream contains a stabilised form of vitamin C that is more resistant to oxidation, helping it retain its stability and efficacy in the formula over time. In a double-blind, placebo-controlled study, the formulation reduced wrinkle depth and improved skin elasticity. As an antioxidant, it also protects the skin from free radicals.
- Coenzyme Q10: an antioxidant that helps protect the skin from external influences. The body produces it naturally, but production slows after the age of 25. In a study involving 73 volunteers, a product containing coenzyme Q10 increased levels in the skin after 2 weeks and reduced free radicals in skin exposed to oxidative stress.
- Niacinamide (vitamin B3): cares for the skin barrier, which helps retain moisture in the skin. In a study using 2% niacinamide, water loss from the skin measurably decreased and hydration increased after 4-8 weeks.
- Acmella oleracea flower extract: a plant extract with firming and anti-wrinkle effects. It is certified by ECOCERT and COSMOS.
- Ectoin® natural: a molecule that microorganisms use to protect themselves from extreme conditions. It binds water, supports the skin barrier and helps protect the skin from drying out. In a randomised, double-blind study involving 104 women, the formulation improved hydration, elasticity and skin surface texture after 4 weeks.
- ProRenew Complex CLR™: a fermented probiotic complex that supports natural renewal, the proper removal of dead skin cells and the strength of the skin barrier. In a placebo-controlled test involving 18 women, the formulation supported natural dead skin cell removal and the proper functioning of the skin's protective barrier after 42 days.
The skin is also nourished with BIO olive squalane, BIO avocado oil, BIO rosehip oil and BIO shea butter.
Texture
A gentle, nourishing cream with a velvety feel. It absorbs quickly and has a naturally subtle vanilla scent.
How to use
Apply to a cleansed face, neck and décolletage in the morning and evening. It works beautifully with serums.
The cream does not contain UV filters. During the day, use it alongside a product with SPF.
The airless pump dispenses approximately 0.5 ml with each press, so you do not need to scoop the cream out of the container with your fingers.

With its beautiful, intoxicating scent, this rose water of the highest quality is a completely natural product with wonderful beauty benefits. It is an extract of damask rose petals, obtained by distilling fresh flowers, and contains water-soluble volatile and aromatic compounds from roses. This hydrolate is rich in antioxidants, bioflavonoids and carotenes that penetrate the skin and support its health. Thanks to its strong antibacterial properties, it is made without preservatives, and is hypoallergenic and gentle on the skin. As well as being used in cosmetics, it is used in cooking to flavour desserts and drinks, and supports digestion when consumed in small amounts.
Rose water is an excellent toner that hydrates the skin, balances its pH, cleanses pores and stimulates regeneration. It has strong antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects, disinfects, prevents inflammation and tightens pores. It soothes irritated skin, reduces redness and puffiness, and promotes healing in skin affected by acne, eczema or rosacea. As an antioxidant, it protects against free radicals, slows ageing, improves elasticity and helps prevent wrinkles. It is used at a concentration of 100 % as a toner or spray, with no need to dilute it, ideally morning and evening.
We recommend it for dry, sensitive, oily, acne-prone, dehydrated and mature skin. It is ideal for children, people with allergies, and after shaving, hair removal or sunburn. In summer, it refreshes the skin as a spray, sets make-up and removes blackheads. Suitable for anyone looking for natural, alcohol-free skincare.
A study published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology (2011) showed that Rosa damascena hydrolate at a concentration of 100 % significantly reduced inflammatory markers in patients with acne by 68 % after 60 days of daily application, thanks to its phenolic compounds and essential oils (Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 2011). Further research in Phytotherapy Research (2015) reports that the antioxidants in rose water improved skin hydration by 25 % and reduced transepidermal water loss in dry skin (Phytotherapy Research, 2015).
Water is a key ingredient in most cosmetic products, where it serves as a universal solvent for other active ingredients. It can come from various sources, including natural sources such as Dead Sea mineral water, rich in salts and minerals, or distilled water obtained from natural water cycles and free from impurities. In organic cosmetics, it is often used as a hydrolate, an aromatic water obtained by distilling plants that retains essential oils and other beneficial compounds. Synthetic water is uncommon; in practice, this refers to purified or demineralised water treated to ensure formulation stability, helping to keep products safe and give them a long shelf life.
Its main function is to hydrate the skin by binding and delivering moisture to the stratum corneum, the outermost layer of the skin, where a water concentration of just 10 % is needed to maintain suppleness and softness. It restores the skin’s natural barrier by supporting the delivery of active ingredients and preventing dryness. At concentrations typically above 70 % in emulsions, it acts as a carrier for water-soluble substances such as vitamins or hyaluronic acid, enhancing their hydrating and antioxidant effects. Its neutral nature helps soothe irritated skin, and it supports detoxification.
It is recommended for all skin types, particularly dry, dehydrated, sensitive and irritated skin, where it provides intensive hydration and eases discomfort. For oily and acne-prone skin, it is ideal at low concentrations in lightweight gels or toners, where it does not clog pores and helps keep them clean. Mature skin benefits from its ability to improve elasticity when combined with oils. It is also suitable for children and newborns in soothing products.
A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Science showed that formulations containing 80-90 % aqua combined with humectants increased stratum corneum hydration by 25 % after 4 weeks of daily use (Journal of Cosmetic Science, 2018). Further research in the International Journal of Dermatology confirmed that Dead Sea water at a concentration of 5 % in a serum improved skin barrier function by 30 % and reduced transepidermal water loss in patients with dry skin (International Journal of Dermatology, 2015).
Produced from coconut oil, it is a natural water-binding substance that also occurs in the body. Its main properties are hydrating and restorative, and it creates a protective barrier against dryness. It leaves a soft, silky, supple layer on the skin and prevents moisture loss, helping to build the skin's protective barrier. Its concentration in the finished product is important. In addition to coconut oil, it can also be obtained from vegetable oils such as palm or soya oil through hydrolysis, or as a by-product of biodiesel production. It belongs to a group of humectants that can bind up to 1000 times their weight in water from their surroundings, ensuring long-lasting hydration. It occurs naturally in the skin as part of the natural moisturising factors (NMF) that make up the outermost layer of the epidermis. It can also be produced synthetically for greater purity in cosmetics, although the natural form is preferred in organic products. It supports skin elasticity by improving the penetration of other active ingredients into deeper layers.
As a humectant, it intensely moisturises the skin by attracting and binding water molecules from the environment and the lower layers of the skin. It restores the skin barrier by forming a protective film that minimises transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and protects against environmental factors such as dry air and pollution. It has a mild soothing effect on irritated skin and supports its regeneration. At concentrations of 5-20 % in serums or creams, it significantly increases hydration; with 10 % glycerine, moisture loss was reduced by 25 % after 24 hours (Journal of Cosmetic Science, 2018). At lower concentrations (below 5 %), it acts as a solubiliser for essential oils.
It is recommended for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and mature skin, where it prevents wrinkles caused by dehydration. At low concentrations, it is also suitable for oily and acne-prone skin, as it does not leave a greasy film and regulates hydration without clogging pores. It is ideal for atopic dermatitis or eczema, where it supports barrier repair. During the winter months or in dry environments, it is invaluable for all skin types, especially for children and older people with thin skin.
A study published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science (2015) showed that a 20 % glycerine solution increased skin hydration by 40 % after 7 days of application in women with dry skin. Further research in the British Journal of Dermatology (2008) reports that glycerine at a concentration of 6 %, combined with lipids, restored the skin barrier 30 % faster than a placebo in patients with eczema.
Olive squalene is a luxurious ingredient and, as its name suggests, it is pure plant-derived squalene obtained from olives. It is also known as a “natural facelift” because it is similar to the lipids in human skin, allowing it to penetrate deep into skin tissue, support cell regeneration and oxygenation, hydrate, promote healing and, not least, smooth wrinkles. This ingredient comes from olives and is obtained by hydrogenating the squalene present in olive oil through environmentally friendly processes, without using animal sources or synthetic chemicals. It is a stable, plant-based alternative to animal-derived squalene that is fully compatible with organic cosmetics and supports sustainable production. Thanks to its structure, which is identical to human lipids, it absorbs exceptionally well without clogging pores, making it an ideal base for nourishing products.
It works primarily by intensely moisturising the skin and restoring its barrier, replenishing the skin’s natural lipids and preventing transepidermal water loss. As a powerful antioxidant, it protects cells from free radicals and supports tissue regeneration and oxygenation, helping to smooth wrinkles and improve elasticity. It also soothes irritation and speeds up healing, without exfoliating effects. The recommended concentration in cosmetic formulations is 5-20 %, with 10 % significantly increasing hydration without leaving a greasy film.
It is particularly recommended for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and mature skin, where it effectively combats loss of elasticity and wrinkles. It is also suitable for oily and acne-prone skin, as it is non-comedogenic and regulates the sebaceous glands without clogging pores. Thanks to its hypoallergenic properties, it is ideal for all age groups, including children and pregnant women. It has a soothing effect on sensitive skin with eczema or irritation, while helping to prevent signs of ageing in mature skin.
A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Science (2018) showed that olive squalene at a concentration of 10 % increased skin hydration by 45 % and improved skin barrier recovery by 30 % after 4 weeks of application in women with dry skin. Further research in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science (2020) reports that applying 5 % olive-derived squalene reduced lipid peroxidation in the skin by 25 % and improved elasticity by 20 % over 8 weeks, confirming its antioxidant and regenerative effects.
Fermented probiotic cultures stimulate the renewal of new skin layers and the rate of epidermal growth. They therefore play a significant role in skin regeneration, helping to maintain and repair the protective barrier on the skin's surface. These cultures are produced through biotechnological processes in which bacterial lysate is obtained by fermentation, a method commonly used for natural cosmetic ingredients. Dulcia natural uses high-quality probiotic cultures that meet the strictest Ecocert and COSMOS certification standards, guaranteeing that at least 95 % of the ingredients are of natural origin, without GMOs or synthetic pesticides.
ProRenew Complex CLR™ targets key aspects of skin ageing: the skin's ability to adapt successfully to a constantly changing environment and to renew itself effectively. ProRenew Complex CLR™ positively influences the rate and quality of epidermal growth. It has been shown to effectively support desquamation, the shedding of dead skin cells. ProRenew Complex CLR™ benefits both skin health and the skin's microflora. It balances and protects the skin's microflora and helps it cope with everyday stress. Its mechanism of action includes stimulating skin regeneration, restoring the epidermal barrier, supporting desquamation for a gentle exfoliating effect, and soothing the skin by balancing its microflora. Typical concentrations in cosmetic formulations range from around 1-5 % for visible results.
ProRenew Complex CLR™ also improves the condition of the scalp and makes it less oily. It also noticeably reduces scalp sensitivity, makes the scalp noticeably healthier and reduces symptoms associated with scalp dryness. ProRenew Complex CLR™ provides important support for the skin and scalp, even in rinse-off products. It is recommended for dry, sensitive, dehydrated and mature skin, as well as oily scalps with an imbalance in their microflora. Ideal for those with a compromised skin barrier, irritation or signs of ageing, including those with a sensitive scalp.
A clinical study showed that ProRenew Complex CLR™, applied at a concentration of 2 %, increased keratinocyte proliferation by 24 % and supported differentiation within the epidermal barrier, leading to faster skin renewal (International Journal of Cosmetic Science, 2012). Further research confirmed a 30 % reduction in scalp sensitivity after 28 days of use in shampoos (Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, 2015).
Dulcia natural uses high-quality probiotic cultures that meet the strictest certification standards of Ecocert and COSMOS. The world's most prestigious certifications for natural and organic cosmetics.

This Ecocert-certified olive emulsifier is a 100 % organic, non-ionic, PEG-free plant-based emulsifier made from olive oil. An emulsifier is an agent that allows two or more liquids that do not normally mix, such as water and oil, to form an emulsion by reducing surface tension. It has excellent moisturising properties and helps soften the skin. It reduces moisture loss and is hypoallergenic. It is obtained from olive oil through the esterification of fatty acids, sorbitol and cetearyl alcohol. Sorbitol belongs to a group of sugar alcohols that occur naturally in fruit and vegetables (apples, pears, cherries, grapes...). It is a natural sweetener. Cetearyl alcohol is an emulsifier of 100 % plant origin that creates creamy, softening textures without a greasy film, leaving a pleasant feel on the skin. This emulsifier comes exclusively from plant sources, specifically olive oil, contains no synthetic additives and meets strict standards for organic extracts. The production process involves physical and biotechnological methods, such as esterification, that preserve the natural nutritional value and beneficial compounds.
It works by forming stable emulsions, reducing the surface tension between water and oil to create uniform creams and lotions. Its olive fatty acid content provides intensive moisture, restores the skin's lipid barrier by mimicking its natural structure and reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL). Polyphenols from olive oil give it antioxidant properties, while it soothes irritated skin and gently softens it without leaving a greasy film. The recommended concentration in formulations is 2-6 % for optimal emulsification and hydration.
It is recommended for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and mature skin, where it effectively restores the barrier and retains moisture. It is also suitable for oily and acne-prone skin thanks to its non-comedogenic composition and light texture, which does not clog pores. Ideal for all skin types looking for natural, hypoallergenic emulsifiers in organic cosmetics.
A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Science (2015) showed that olive ester-based emulsifiers at a concentration of 4 % reduced TEWL by 28 % after 4 weeks of application to dry skin and improved hydration by 35 % (compared with the control). Further research in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science (2018) reports that Cetearyl Olivate and Sorbitan Olivate at a concentration of 3-5 % increase skin elasticity by 22 % and support skin barrier repair in individuals with atopic dermatitis.
Dulcia natural uses a high-quality olive emulsifier that meets the most stringent COSMOS certification. A prestigious international certification for natural and organic cosmetics.
Obtained from the ground fruit of the avocado tree. It is one of the oldest cultivated plants native to the Americas. Avocado oil contains vitamins A, C, B1, B2, B6, D, E and K, lecithin, gamma-linolenic acid, folic acid and a wide range of minerals – potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, manganese, copper, selenium, sodium, calcium, zinc and iron. Avocado oil has the highest content of monounsaturated fats and omega-3 fats of all oils. It contains high levels of fatty acids, phytosterols and lutein. This oil has anti-allergic properties and is suitable for all skin types, particularly dry, sagging and tired-looking skin. It is cold-pressed from the flesh of ripe fruit, preserving its bioavailable components. It is available in organic quality as a natural plant extract without synthetic additives, ideal for clean beauty formulations.
It restores skin elasticity, smooths fine lines and can even increase the amount of collagen in the skin. It is excellent in products for the eye area and for skin under extreme stress. Avocado oil is rich in minerals, vitamins and, in particular, high levels of unsaturated fatty acids. It regenerates sagging skin, effectively restores elasticity, softens the skin and eliminates wrinkles. Thanks to its potassium content, it is also referred to as the mineral of youth. It works by intensely moisturising the skin and restoring its lipid barrier, thanks to its high proportion of monounsaturated fatty acids such as oleic acid. As a powerful antioxidant rich in vitamin E, it protects against free radicals, supports healing and soothes irritation. At concentrations of 5-20 % in emulsions, it significantly improves hydration without clogging pores.
It leaves the skin fresh and radiant. It speeds up healing and regeneration, softens hardened skin and provides hydration. It is an exceptionally nourishing oil suitable for all skin types. It helps dry skin and is also effective in treating psoriasis and various forms of eczema. It can also help skin showing signs of acne and irritated skin. It is particularly recommended for dry, sensitive, dehydrated, mature and sagging skin, where it restores elasticity and protects against moisture loss. Its anti-inflammatory effects also make it suitable for skin prone to eczema or psoriasis, but it is less suitable for very oily skin that is not lacking in hydration.
A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology (2010) demonstrated that topical application of avocado oil in combination with vitamin B12 improved wound re-epithelialisation by 45 % in rats compared with the control group. Further research in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science (2009) reports that fractionated avocado oil at a concentration of 1 % stimulated collagen production in cultured human fibroblasts by 20-30 %. A clinical study involving 32 women (Dermatologic Surgery, 2004) confirmed that serums containing 10 % avocado oil reduced the visibility of wrinkles by 25 % after 8 weeks of daily use.
This water-binding ingredient acts as a moisturiser and skin softener in cosmetics. It helps active ingredients penetrate the skin. Another key benefit of pentylene glycol is that, unlike conventional alcohol, it does not have a drying effect, even at higher concentrations. Pentylene glycol is an excellent aid for macerating herbs. It does not dry the skin like conventional alcohol and, thanks to its properties, extracts both water-soluble and fat-soluble substances from herbs. Pentylene Glycol also helps prevent the growth of microorganisms on the skin. It is water-soluble, acts as a solubiliser and is colourless and odourless. Pentylene glycol is made from sugar cane bagasse and corn cobs and is certified by Ecocert Cosmos and NATRUE. The raw materials used in its production are not derived from GMO sources. This ingredient comes from renewable plant sources: bagasse is a by-product of cane sugar production, while maize provides fermentable starches, ensuring sustainable production without relying on petrochemical derivatives.
Its action is primarily based on its ability to retain moisture: it binds water in the skin and prevents moisture loss, restoring the lipid barrier. It also has antimicrobial properties that inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi, allowing it to act as a gentle preservative. It helps active ingredients penetrate deeper into the skin without disrupting its structure. At concentrations of 1 to 5 per cent, it is recommended as a safe humectant and solubiliser; at 3 per cent, it significantly reduces microbial contamination without causing irritation.
It is recommended for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and mature skin, providing effective hydration without feeling heavy. It is also suitable for oily and acne-prone skin thanks to its non-comedogenic and antimicrobial properties, which help prevent inflammation without clogging pores. It is ideal for sensitive skin, including children's skin, as it contains no harsh preservatives and minimises the risk of irritation.
A study published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science (2012) showed that pentylene glycol at a concentration of 4 per cent inhibits the growth of Staphylococcus aureus by 99,9 per cent and Candida albicans by 99,8 per cent after 48 hours of exposure, confirming its strong antimicrobial effects while remaining safe for the skin. Further research in the Journal of Applied Microbiology (2008) reports that, at a concentration of 2 per cent, it reduces microbial contamination in cosmetic emulsions by 4 log units within 7 days.
This naturally occurring amino acid compound is most commonly derived from sugar beet. It helps plants cope with drought and high salt concentrations by stabilising the water balance within cells. In cosmetics, it is used as an osmolyte and humectant. It dissolves readily in water, has no strong colour or scent and is easy to incorporate into serums, creams and cleansers.
Betaine binds water in the surface layers of the skin and helps maintain a comfortable feeling of hydration without a heavy or sticky film. It reduces uncomfortable tightness, supports the suppleness of the outermost layer of skin and may reduce irritation caused by cleansing surfactants. Rather than acting as a greasy, occlusive oil, it helps cells manage water more effectively. In formulations, it is often combined with glycerine, panthenol, hyaluronic acid or components of the skin’s natural moisturising factor.
We particularly recommend it for dry, dehydrated, sensitive skin and skin with a compromised barrier. It is also very well suited to oily and acne-prone skin that needs hydration but cannot tolerate rich emollients. It is beneficial during winter, after sun exposure, in air-conditioned environments or in products used alongside retinoids and exfoliating acids.
In a study of a cream containing 4 per cent betaine, a significant reduction in transepidermal water loss was recorded after four weeks, suggesting improved skin barrier function. Measures of hydration and the appearance of wrinkles were also assessed (PuraBeet Skin Care Study, 2025). This is a supplier study, so the results should be interpreted in the context of the complete formulation.
It is commonly used at concentrations of around 1 to 5 per cent, and at higher levels in some products. It is stable across a wide pH range and is generally well tolerated. In highly concentrated water-based serums, the amount of other humectants needs to be balanced to prevent the product from feeling sticky.
In your daily routine, it is worth focusing on longer-term comfort, suppleness and whether your skin feels less tight throughout the day. In a dry climate, a humectant also needs an emollient or occlusive ingredient to lock in the retained water. The result therefore depends on the complete formulation, regular use and gentle cleansing, not just a high concentration of a single ingredient. Regular application in an appropriate amount is also important.
Niacin, or vitamin B3, belongs to the B vitamin complex. Vitamin B3 is a collective term for nicotinic acid and niacin. It occurs naturally in foods such as meat, fish, nuts and wholegrain products, but cosmetics use a synthetic form or organic extracts from yeast and plants. This water-soluble vitamin is essential for cellular metabolism and the synthesis of the coenzyme NAD, which supports energy processes in skin cells. In cosmetic products, it is added in the stable form of niacinamide, which is readily absorbed into the skin without causing irritation.
It protects the skin and improves its health. It plays a role in cellular metabolism, helping enzymatic processes function properly. Its mechanism of action includes moisturising the skin by increasing the synthesis of ceramides and free fatty acids, thereby restoring the skin barrier. It has powerful antioxidant properties that neutralise free radicals and protect against oxidative stress. It soothes inflammation by inhibiting pro-inflammatory cytokines and promotes exfoliation by regulating keratinisation. Recommended concentrations are 2-5 % for hydration and barrier repair, and up to 10 % for pigmentation and acne.
Niacin helps the skin retain water, improves the condition of sensitive skin (including skin with rosacea) and strengthens its defences. It is also excellent for supporting acne treatment, both topically and orally. It is useful even for severe forms of acne. It improves the appearance of ageing skin and brightens the complexion, making it suitable for reducing pigmentation and age spots. It plumps and hydrates the skin and prevents water loss. Its benefits extend well beyond our skin and hair. I recommend it for dry, sensitive, oily, acne-prone, dehydrated and mature skin. It is ideal for rosacea, eczema, hyperpigmentation and anti-ageing care, as it strengthens the barrier without clogging pores.
This vitamin is important for the proper functioning of the whole body, and a deficiency can cause fatigue, digestive problems, mental illness and depression, for example. A clinical study showed that niacinamide at a concentration of 4 % reduced hyperpigmentation by 35-68 % after 4-8 weeks in patients with melasma (Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, 2004). Further research confirmed that 4 % niacinamide reduced acne lesions by 52 %, while 2 % niacinamide reduced hyperpigmentation by 44 % after 8 weeks (International Journal of Dermatology, 2002). High-dose oral supplementation (1 g daily) reduced acne symptoms by 50 % after 8 weeks (Botanic.sk study).
HA-OIL is hydrophobised hyaluronic acid dispersed in oil. It is ideal for use in hair and skin care. This raw material is obtained through biotechnological processes in which low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid is combined with castor oil and emulsifiers for better compatibility with oil phases. The hyaluronic acid itself is produced by microbial fermentation, allowing it to be obtained without animal sources, in line with the principles of natural cosmetics. The oil dispersion ensures stability and easy incorporation into emulsions, gels or water-free formulations.
HA-OIL helps hydrate the skin and retain moisture. It contains low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid, which penetrates into the deeper layers. It improves the skin barrier, reduces sebum and minimises pore size. It binds water to provide a plumping effect and smooth wrinkles. It supports healthy skin microflora, acts as a prebiotic ingredient and promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria on the skin's surface. Its mechanism of action involves intensive hydration thanks to its ability to bind up to 1000 times its weight in water, restoring the skin barrier by strengthening the lipid layer, providing antioxidant protection against free radicals and soothing irritation. As a prebiotic, it selectively nourishes beneficial bacteria, strengthening the microbiome. The recommended concentration in formulations is 0,5-2 % for optimal results.
It is particularly recommended for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and mature skin, where it provides intensive hydration and smooths wrinkles. It is also suitable for oily and acne-prone skin thanks to its ability to regulate sebum, minimise pores and support the microflora that helps prevent inflammation. For combination skin, it provides balanced hydration without feeling heavy. In hair care, it strengthens the scalp and protects against dehydration. It is suitable for all age groups, with a focus on preventing skin ageing and restoring the barrier after exposure to environmental factors.
A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology (2014) showed that topical application of low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid at a concentration of 0,1 % improved skin hydration by 96 % and elasticity by 55 % after 8 weeks of use. Further research in the International Journal of Biological Macromolecules (2020) confirmed that hyaluronic acid in an oil dispersion increases penetration into the stratum corneum by 40 % compared with the aqueous form, effectively restoring the barrier and reducing transepidermal water loss (TEWL) by 25 %. These findings support the effectiveness of HA-OIL in cosmetic formulations.
Fractionated coconut oil is a 100 % natural oil produced by fractionating coconut oil. This process separates the oil into individual types of fatty acids. It remains liquid and is colourless and odourless. It absorbs very well into the skin and has an unlimited shelf life because it is 100 % saturated. It is a ‘dry’ oil, rich in fatty acids and moisturising components. The fractionation process removes longer-chain fatty acids, such as lauric acid, creating a lightweight blend of medium-chain fatty acids, mainly caprylic acid (C8) and capric acid (C10). It comes from the tropical fruit of the coconut palm, which grows in regions such as India, the Philippines and Indonesia. It is a plant-derived glyceride that feels soft to the touch and is biologically compatible with human skin. Unlike raw coconut oil, which solidifies at lower temperatures, fractionated coconut oil stays liquid even in the cold, making it an ideal ingredient for cosmetic formulations. It is not synthetic but obtained through physical distillation without chemical additives, and can be certified as an organic extract from organic farming.
A plant-derived glyceride with a very soft feel. It is readily absorbed by human skin, is non-greasy and leaves no oily film. It acts as an emollient, moisturising the skin by reducing transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and restoring the lipid barrier. It softens, smooths and conditions the skin. It helps the skin regulate sebum production and pH without blocking pores. The oil improves the penetration of active ingredients into the skin, such as essential oils or herbal ingredients. It acts as a solvent for oil-soluble active ingredients (maceration). As an occlusive, it protects against dryness and supports skin cell regeneration thanks to its saturated fatty acid content. At concentrations of 5-20 % in emulsions, it significantly improves hydration and elasticity without being comedogenic (no risk of clogging pores).
Recommended for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and mature skin, where it provides effective hydration without feeling heavy. It is also suitable for normal to combination skin, as it regulates sebum and leaves no film. For oily, dehydrated skin, it is ideal as a lightweight carrier for active ingredients. We do not recommend it for severely acne-prone skin with open lesions, although it is non-comedogenic. Its gentle texture makes it excellent for all ages, especially children, and for atopic skin.
A study published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science (2014) demonstrated that Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride at a concentration of 10 % in a moisturising cream reduced TEWL by 25 % after 4 weeks of application in subjects with dry skin. Further research in the Journal of Dermatological Science (2008) showed that fractionated coconut triglycerides support ceramide synthesis in the skin barrier by 18 % in vitro, restoring its protective layer.
Vitamin C is essential for the body's biological functions and overall health. It can increase collagen production in the skin, firming it and improving the health of its surface. It speeds up skin metabolism, helping minor wounds heal and preventing pigmentation marks or age spots from forming. It is the most important vitamin for skin regeneration and protection against harmful environmental effects and free radicals, which are responsible for premature skin ageing. It occurs naturally in fruit and vegetables, such as rosehips, acerola and sea buckthorn, where it acts as a water-soluble antioxidant sensitive to heat and oxidation. In cosmetics, it is used in the form of stabilised derivatives, such as Sodium Phosphate Ascorbyl, which provides better stability and penetration into the deeper layers of the skin without irritation.
Its mechanism of action includes powerful antioxidant protection: it neutralises free radicals in the aqueous phase of cells, preventing oxidative stress and premature ageing. It stimulates the synthesis of type I and III collagen, strengthens the skin barrier and supports regeneration. It limits melanin production, brightening the complexion, and when combined with vitamin E, it offers greater stability and effectiveness against UV damage. It soothes inflammation, reduces redness and speeds up healing. The recommended concentration in serums is 10-20 %, at which it delivers optimal effects without irritation.
Ideal for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and mature skin with pigmentation marks, hyperpigmentation or signs of ageing. It is also recommended for oily and acne-prone skin, as it regulates melanin and reduces inflammation without clogging pores. Suitable for anyone exposed to environmental stressors, such as UV radiation or pollution, in combination with SPF to enhance protection. For extremely sensitive skin, it is not recommended without a patch test first.
A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology showed that vitamin C at a concentration of 10 %, applied for 12 weeks, improved skin hydration by 20 % and reduced fine lines by 15 % in women with photoageing. Further research in the British Journal of Dermatology demonstrated that topical vitamin C combined with vitamin E reduced UV-induced erythema by 40-60 % and increased the protection factor by up to 4 times. The stabilised form Sodium Phosphate Ascorbyl increases skin cell viability by 30 % compared with pure L-ascorbic acid.
It is produced by cold-pressing rose hips. Our rosehip oil comes from wild-growing rose hips and is of the highest organic quality. Rosehip oil is considered one of the best plant oils and has remarkable effects on the healing of skin scars, even older ones. It is also an excellent anti-wrinkle treatment which, with regular use, ensures a lasting youthful, wrinkle-free appearance. This organic extract from the fruit of the wild rose is 100 % natural, free from chemical additives and obtained by traditional cold-pressing, preserving its full potency and nutritional value. It is sustainably sourced from wild-growing plants, supporting environmentally friendly production without pesticides.
Rosehip oil contains vitamins A, B, C, E and K, potassium, iron, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, copper, zinc, manganese, sodium, zinc, choline, lutein, beta-carotene, unsaturated fatty acids, folic acid and pantothenic acid, as well as fibre, fat and protein. It is rich in antioxidants and vitamins A, C and E, which protect the skin from harmful free radicals and slow down the ageing process. Vitamin C supports collagen production, while vitamin E hydrates the skin. Several types of beneficial fatty acids are important building blocks for skin cells. Rosehip oil is a so-called dry oil, meaning it absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving a greasy feel. Its action includes moisturising through omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, restoring the skin barrier through polyunsaturated fatty acids, providing powerful antioxidant protection against free radicals through vitamins A, C and E, supporting healing and cell regeneration to promote collagen and elastin production, and delivering soothing anti-inflammatory effects. The recommended concentration in cosmetics is 5-20 % for optimal results without sensitisation.
Rosehip oil is ideal for dry, sensitive, dehydrated and mature skin, as well as acne-prone and oily skin with acne scars, eczema or psoriasis. I recommend it for people with visible wrinkles, dark spots, stretch marks or scars, where it supports healing and evens out skin tone. It is suitable for all age groups looking to prevent skin ageing, especially women over 30 with the first signs of photoageing.
A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy (2015) showed that applying rosehip oil at a concentration of 10 % twice daily reduced the visibility of acne scars by 22 % and improved skin elasticity by 15 % after 12 weeks. Further research in Phytotherapy Research (2008) confirmed that transdermal application of the oil increases collagen synthesis by 25 % in subjects with dry skin, thanks to its vitamin C and polyunsaturated fatty acid content.
This is a natural emollient derived from sugar beet and coconut. It is of 100% natural origin and is 100% biodegradable. It gives the skin a luxurious feel, softens it and prevents moisture loss. It gives products a lightweight, non-greasy feel. It helps disperse mineral UV filters, helping to reduce the white cast on the skin and making sunscreen easier to spread. This ingredient is produced by esterifying isoamyl alcohol from sugar beet with fatty acids from coconut oil, ensuring high purity and environmental friendliness. Thanks to its plant origin, it meets strict natural cosmetics criteria and is an ideal choice for environmentally focused products.
It works primarily by moisturising and restoring the skin barrier, strengthening the skin’s lipid layer and preventing transepidermal water loss. It also acts as an emollient, softening the skin’s surface and providing a dry, non-greasy finish. It is also used to disperse mineral UV filters, improving their distribution and reducing the visible white cast. The recommended concentration in cosmetic formulations is 1-10 %, depending on the desired viscosity and type of emulsion, with lower concentrations (1-3 %) sufficient for lightweight creams and higher concentrations (5-10 %) for sunscreens.
It is particularly recommended for dry, dehydrated and sensitive skin, where it effectively prevents moisture loss and provides comfort without feeling heavy. Its non-greasy feel also makes it suitable for oily and combination skin, as well as for all skin types in sunscreen products. It is ideal for mature skin, where it supports barrier function and softens wrinkles, and for athletes or people with an active lifestyle who need water-repellent yet breathable formulations.
A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Science (2018) showed that Isoamyl Laurate at a concentration of 5 % in emulsions with mineral UV filters reduced the visibility of the white cast by 68 % and improved spreadability by 45 % compared with standard emulsifiers. Further research in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science (2020) reports that this emollient increases skin hydration by 25 % at 4 hours after application compared with synthetic alternatives, confirming its effectiveness in restoring the lipid barrier.
Description: This ingredient is a lightweight, plant-derived ester obtained from coconut oil and fatty acids. In cosmetics, it is used as a gentle, easily spreadable alternative to heavier silicones and rich oils. It absorbs very well, leaves no greasy film and gives the skin a silky, dry and pleasantly soft feel. It is particularly popular in high-quality, naturally focused cosmetics because it improves the sensory feel of the product, softens the skin's surface and feels comfortable even with daily use. It is also biodegradable and suitable for modern formulations designed to be light, elegant and non-sticky.
Function: It acts primarily as an emollient and softening ingredient, helping to reduce transepidermal water loss and support a smoother, more supple appearance. It forms a light protective film on the surface, indirectly helping dry and dehydrated skin feel more comfortable. It greatly improves the spreadability of creams, body lotions, oils and balms, while also helping to dissolve lipophilic active ingredients, such as plant extracts or essential oils. It is typically used in formulations at concentrations of approximately 1 to 20 %, depending on the desired skin feel and product type.
Recommendations: It is suitable for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and mature skin that needs softening without a heavy, greasy feel. It is also a good choice for oily or acne-prone skin when a lightweight alternative to rich oils or silicones is needed. People who prefer fast absorption, a dry finish and a pleasant, non-sticky feel may also appreciate it. It is suitable for day creams, cleansing oils, body care products, lip balms, hair serums and after-sun products.
Citations, specific figures and statistics: In a Cosmetic Ingredient Review safety assessment, this ester was tested in a human repeat insult patch test on 50 volunteers at a concentration of 100 %; no sensitisation or clinically significant skin irritation was observed. These results support its use in products for sensitive skin and explain why it is often used as a very well-tolerated alternative to heavier emollients.
Shea butter is a plant-based fat with a fairly thick, semi-firm consistency. It is obtained from the nuts of the shea tree, also known as karité. This tree grows in sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in the western part of the continent, where the nuts are gathered by hand by women in traditional communities. Cultivation and processing play a very important role in its quality, ensuring that all its valuable properties are preserved. The organic version comes from certified organic plantations without pesticides and is processed by cold pressing or traditional grinding, preserving its natural scent and colour. It contains a high proportion of vitamins A, E and F. It also contains valuable natural healing waxes, rare plant sterols, karitenes and unsaturated fatty acids, such as stearic, oleic and linoleic acid. Its composition closely resembles the skin's protective film, making it particularly effective and suitable even for sensitive skin and children's skin. In its organic form, it contains no chemical additives and is not refined, which increases its bioavailability.
It works by intensely moisturising the skin and restoring the skin barrier, thanks to its high content of fatty acids that mimic the skin's lipids. As a powerful antioxidant, it protects against free radicals through vitamins A and E. It has soothing and anti-inflammatory properties, supports wound healing and stimulates collagen production, restoring elasticity. At a concentration of 5-20 % in creams, it significantly improves hydration and reduces dryness. Shea butter conditions, moisturises and rejuvenates the skin. It nourishes the skin, supports collagen production and restores skin elasticity. It stimulates cellular activity in the skin, helping to prevent wrinkles, uneven skin texture, dark spots, enlarged pores and other concerns associated with skin ageing. It protects the skin from sunlight, helps wounds heal and has anti-inflammatory properties. It helps treat dry skin and psoriasis, while its antibacterial properties also make it a suitable addition to creams for acne-prone and blemish-prone skin.
Recommended for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and mature skin, as well as children with atopic skin. Also suitable for oily and acne-prone skin at low concentrations, where it regulates sebum and fights bacteria without clogging pores. Ideal for eczema, psoriasis or burns, where it soothes irritation.
A study published in the Journal of Oleo Science (2010) showed that shea butter at a concentration of 10 % increased skin hydration by 25 % after 4 weeks of application in people with dry skin. Further research in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences (2018) reports that triterpene esters from shea butter inhibit inflammatory mediators by 40 % in vitro, supporting the healing of acne. A clinical study involving 20 volunteers showed that daily application of 15 % shea butter reduced transepidermal water loss by 32 % over 28 days (Skin Research and Technology, 2015).
Gatuline® In-Tense is an oil extract obtained from the flowers of Acmella Spilanthes, an endemic plant native to South Africa and the Mascarene Islands. It is a natural extract produced by extracting bioactive compounds from the plant’s flowers by dissolving them in liquid fatty esters (Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride). This ingredient is not synthetic, but comes from a traditional plant source certified to ECOCERT and COSMOS standards. Acmella Spilanthes has long been known in traditional medicine and cosmetics for its regenerating and firming properties.
Gatuline® In-Tense acts as a natural lifting agent, targeting deep renewal of the dermal structure. Its main mechanism is to stimulate fibroblast activity in the extracellular matrix, supporting collagen fibre synthesis and increasing the skin’s mechanical strength. The ingredient acts as an adaptogen, restoring and strengthening the skin’s natural barrier. It works without exfoliating, instead directly stimulating regeneration processes at a cellular level. Clinical studies have confirmed that this ingredient effectively reduces the appearance of wrinkles on the face, neck and décolletage, while making the skin visibly firmer and more toned.
Gatuline® In-Tense is ideal for mature skin showing signs of photoageing, as well as skin with reduced elasticity, wrinkles and loss of tone. It is recommended for dehydrated skin in need of deep regeneration, as well as all skin types in later life. It is particularly suitable for those seeking a natural way to restore firmness without invasive procedures. The ingredient is also suitable for sensitive skin thanks to its gentle, natural components.
Clinical studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of this active ingredient: studies on the skin of the face and neck recorded a reduction in the visibility of wrinkles and an improvement in the skin’s biomechanical properties. Gatuline® In-Tense stimulates collagen production and promotes regeneration processes in the dermal layer. Several researchers confirm that Acmella Spilanthes extracts contain bioactive alkaloid compounds that directly stimulate fibroblasts and support increased production of the extracellular matrix. These effects result in visibly firmer facial contours and fewer wrinkles with regular use.
Panthenol is a water-soluble vitamin involved in the metabolism of all nutrients in the body. Its name comes from Greek and means “found everywhere”. Indeed, it is found in almost every food and is essential for healthy skin. It is a hygroscopic ingredient that effectively binds water and helps optimise skin function. It helps keep the skin hydrated and smooth, stimulates the formation of new cells, speeds up healing processes and soothes the skin. It is produced synthetically from pantothenic acid, which occurs naturally in both plant and animal sources. Organic cosmetics favour a safe form obtained through gentle synthesis from natural sources. In the body, it is converted into active pantothenic acid, which supports regeneration and is essential for healthy skin, hair and nails.
Provitamin B5 improves the regeneration of mature skin by speeding up cell metabolism and stimulating cell renewal. It helps retain moisture in the skin and has anti-inflammatory, hydrating and soothing effects. It protects the skin against sunburn. D-panthenol improves skin metabolism and nourishment, helps maintain its youthful appearance and reduces wrinkle formation. It works by hydrating the skin as a humectant, binding water in the upper layers of the skin and preventing transepidermal water loss; restoring the skin barrier by stimulating the synthesis of sphingolipids and fatty acids; providing antioxidant protection against free radicals; soothing inflammation by modulating inflammatory pathways; and accelerating healing by promoting the proliferation of fibroblasts and keratinocytes. The recommended concentration in cosmetics is 0,5 % to 10 %.
Ideal for dry, sensitive, dehydrated, mature, acne-prone and irritated skin, including children's skin and skin after sun exposure. It is recommended for eczema, burns and insect bites, as well as after tattooing or shaving, where it relieves itching and redness and supports healing without the risk of irritation.
A study published in the Journal of Dermatological Treatment (2011) showed that a gel containing 5 % D-panthenol applied twice daily to dry, itchy skin significantly improved hydration by 20 % and reduced itching by 30 % after just 7 days compared with a placebo (Ebner et al., 2011). Another study in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science (2002) reported that 2 % panthenol in a cream strengthened the skin barrier, increased ceramide levels and reduced transepidermal water loss by 25 % after 4 weeks in individuals with atopic eczema (Proksch et al., 2002).
First of all, we would like to explain that cosmetic products do need preservatives to prevent microbial growth, product spoilage and potential skin infections that may have long-term adverse effects on your skin. Protecting the product from spoilage, and therefore protecting you, is extremely important. It is equally important to us that the preservative system is mild and gentle and has absolutely no negative impact on your health. Our packaging also plays a significant role in gentle preservation, allowing us to use the lowest concentration of the preservative blend. This blend consists of organic acids and benzyl alcohol obtained through natural processes without synthetic chemicals, in accordance with strict organic farming and certification standards. The components originate from plant sources or microbial processes: dehydroacetic acid is produced through glucose fermentation, benzoic and sorbic acids are isolated from berries or strawberries, and benzyl alcohol from plant essential oils such as ylang-ylang or jasmine. These organic extracts are certified as natural and organic, free from GMOs and pesticides.
The organic preservative blend works by acidifying its environment, lowering the pH to 4-5,5, a level that inhibits the growth of bacteria, yeasts and moulds. The synergistic effect of the blend ensures broad-spectrum protection: dehydroacetic acid inhibits fungal enzymes, benzoic and sorbic acids penetrate the cell membranes of microorganisms and disrupt their metabolism, while benzyl alcohol disrupts cell walls. The typical concentration is 0,2-1 %, depending on the formulation, which minimises the potential for irritation when used with airless packaging. This system contains no parabens, formaldehyde releasers or isothiazolinones, protecting the integrity of natural ingredients without compromising stability.
We recommend this blend for all skin types – dry, sensitive, oily, acne-prone, dehydrated or mature – particularly in organic cosmetics for families with children and people with allergies. It is ideal for those looking for a gentle alternative to synthetic preservatives, without the risk of sensitisation at low concentrations. A study published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science (2014) confirms that a blend of dehydroacetic acid (0,5 %), benzoic acid (0,3 %) and benzyl alcohol (0,2 %) achieved a 99,9 % reduction in Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans in emulsions at pH 5,5 without affecting the product's rheology (Darr et al., 2014). Further research in the Journal of Applied Microbiology (2009) showed that sorbic acid used in combination (0,1 %) produced a 4 log reduction in Aspergillus niger within 7 days.
Dulcia natural uses a natural, environmentally friendly system to protect cosmetic products that complies with Ecocert and COSMOS standards. It has been developed to reduce the risk of bacterial contamination. It is designed to provide broad-spectrum protection using optimised, innovative synergistic blends, with environmental responsibility and sustainable development in mind. It is an organically certified formulation designed to protect products and people. All components are included on the lists of preservatives approved for natural and organic cosmetics by the world's most prestigious certification bodies.

Glyceryl Stearate Citrate is a gentle, plant-derived emulsifier that keeps water and oils blended in cosmetic products while softening the skin.
Origin
This ingredient is a natural, non-ionic emulsifier and co-emulsifier of plant origin, produced by reacting glycerine, stearic acid (usually from plant oils such as soya, rapeseed or corn oil) and citric acid. Thanks to its plant origin, it is also suitable for vegans and is readily biodegradable.
How it works
The main function of Glyceryl Stearate Citrate is to stabilise oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions, creating light, smooth and non-greasy product textures. As an emollient, it softens and moisturises the skin, forming a protective film that restores the skin barrier and prevents water evaporation. In standard cream formulations, it is usually used at a concentration of 2 to 6 %, while 3 to 5 % is recommended for light lotions and 4 to 10 % for thicker creams.
Skin type
This ingredient is suitable for all skin types, including dry, sensitive, dehydrated, combination and oily skin. Its gentleness and low risk of irritation make it a popular ingredient for sensitive skin prone to irritation.
Research and safety
The safety of this substance is supported by extensive research. In its official 2017 report, the Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR) research panel confirmed that Glyceryl Stearate Citrate is safe for use in cosmetic products at concentrations up to 5 %, with no evidence of irritation, sensitisation or toxicity when used correctly. In single and repeated skin tests, the ingredient was shown to be non-sensitising and non-irritating, ensuring its suitability for long-term use on human skin.
This plant-based emulsifier helps create smooth emulsions from oils and water. In cosmetics and in this ingredient, the word alcohol refers to something different from the alcohol found in drinks, so the two should not be confused. It is a fatty alcohol derived from plant fats and oils; ours comes from coconut oil. Fatty alcohols play a very similar role to fatty acids, particularly omega-3 fatty acids. It has excellent moisturising, softening and hydrating properties. It forms a protective film on the skin that prevents water loss and keeps the skin from drying out too quickly. This fatty alcohol is obtained from coconut oil through natural extraction, making it ideal for natural cosmetics. It is a white, waxy solid fat with a mild scent that melts at around 49 degrees Celsius, making it easy to work with in formulations. Thanks to its stability and compatibility with various emulsifiers, it improves the texture of creams, gels and lotions, contributing to a luxurious feel on the skin. Its plant origin ensures high purity without impurities from petrochemical sources, which is valued by manufacturers of organic cosmetics.
Cetyl alcohol works primarily by moisturising and restoring the skin barrier. As an emulsifier, it stabilises emulsions, preventing the oil and water phases from separating, while also forming an occlusive protective film on the skin's surface that minimises transepidermal water loss (TEWL). This film protects against dryness caused by external factors such as wind and cold. It also has softening effects that improve skin elasticity, and mild antioxidant properties thanks to its similarity to omega-3 fatty acids, which support hydration and anti-inflammatory processes. In cosmetic formulations, it is used at concentrations of 1-5 %, where it significantly increases the viscosity and creaminess of products without leaving a greasy feel.
We recommend cetyl alcohol for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and mature skin, where it helps combat moisture loss and supports barrier repair. It is also suitable for oily skin at low concentrations, as it does not clog pores and improves texture without adding shine. It is ideal for atopic or eczema-prone skin, where it soothes irritation and protects against dryness. In haircare, it is valued for restoring smoothness to dry, brittle hair.
A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Science (2004) showed that cetyl alcohol at concentrations of 2-4 % reduced transepidermal water loss by 25 % after 4 weeks of application to dry skin, significantly improving hydration and elasticity. Further research in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science (2012) confirmed that, in combination with emulsifiers, it increases emulsion stability and supports lipid barrier repair by 30 % in people with impaired skin function.
This amino sugar molecule occurs naturally in the body and is a building block of several polysaccharides. Cosmetic-grade material is produced by fermentation or controlled synthesis. It dissolves readily in water and is stable in mildly acidic to neutral conditions. In formulations, it is used as a hydrating and brightening ingredient with very good skin tolerance.
N-Acetyl Glucosamine helps reduce excess pigment production by influencing the glycosylation of tyrosinase, an enzyme needed for melanin production. It also supports the skin’s natural production of hyaluronic acid, contributing to a smoother, more hydrated surface. Its effect is gradual and gentle, without typical peeling. It works particularly well with niacinamide, as the two ingredients target pigmentation through different mechanisms.
We recommend it for skin with pigmentation, as well as dry, dehydrated, sensitive and mature skin. It is suitable for sun spots, uneven skin tone and post-acne marks, particularly for people who do not tolerate strong exfoliating acids well. It can also be used on oily skin, as it leaves no oily film and generally does not clog pores.
In an eight-week double-blind study, a 2 per cent concentration of N-acetylglucosamine reduced the appearance of facial hyperpigmentation compared with the vehicle alone. A combination of 2 per cent NAG and 4 per cent niacinamide delivered an even greater improvement in pigmentation spots (Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, 2007). The results support long-term, regular use alongside daily SPF.
It is most commonly used at a concentration of approximately 1 to 4 per cent. The formulation’s pH should be kept in the mildly acidic to neutral range, and compatibility with reducing sugars and high temperatures should be monitored. When addressing pigmentation, broad-spectrum sun protection must be part of the routine.
In a daily routine, it is worth assessing longer-term skin comfort and suppleness in particular, as well as whether the skin feels less tight throughout the day. In a dry climate, a humectant also needs an emollient or occlusive ingredient to lock in the retained water. The result therefore depends on the whole formulation, consistent use and gentle cleansing, rather than a high concentration of a single ingredient. Regular application in an appropriate amount is also important.
Antioxidant coffee extracts help repair damaged cells and have anti-inflammatory and protective effects. Caffeine can constrict small blood vessels and reduce dark circles under the eyes. It triggers skin rehydration, counteracting excessive water retention in the skin, which has a significant effect on under-eye bags and cellulite. Caffeine is added only in amounts and combinations that do not dehydrate the skin, but instead bind excess retained water, helping to reduce swelling caused by too much water in a particular area. This natural alkaloid is obtained from plants such as coffee, tea and guarana. Synthetic forms are also available for more stable formulations, but organic coffee extracts are popular for their purity and full spectrum of antioxidants.
Caffeine acts as a powerful antioxidant, neutralising free radicals and protecting cells from oxidative stress caused by UV radiation or pollution. It stimulates blood microcirculation by constricting small blood vessels, reducing puffiness, dark circles and redness. It supports lipolysis by inhibiting phosphodiesterase, leading to the breakdown of fat in cells, making it ideal for tackling cellulite. It has anti-inflammatory and soothing effects, reducing inflammation and supporting the regeneration of damaged cells. At concentrations of 0,5-2 % in eye serums, it effectively reduces under-eye bags, while at 3-5 % in anti-cellulite creams, it improves skin firmness. Higher doses can cause irritation, so it is combined with soothing ingredients such as panthenol.
Caffeine is ideal for tired, dull, mature skin with wrinkles, dry and dehydrated skin prone to puffiness, sensitive skin with rosacea or inflammation, as well as oily and acne-prone skin thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties. It is recommended for the eye area to tackle bags and dark circles, for the body to target cellulite and stretch marks, and for the scalp to stimulate hair growth. Avoid using it on extremely dry skin without additional moisturising products.
A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology showed that topical application of caffeine at a concentration of 3 % inhibits phosphodiesterase and increases lipolysis in fat cells by 25 % over 4 weeks, significantly improving the appearance of cellulite. Further research in the International Journal of Dermatology confirmed that caffeine in a 1 % solution reduces periorbital oedema by 30 % after 14 days of daily application, supporting drainage and microcirculation.
Ectoin® natural comes from a natural source – it is a bioactive molecule isolated from extremophilic microorganisms that occur naturally in hypersaline environments. This ingredient is the result of an evolutionary adaptation that allows organisms to protect their cells against extreme conditions. Ectoin belongs to a group of substances known as extremolytes – natural osmoprotectants that enable cells to survive in harsh environments. Its natural origin and complex mechanism of action place it among the most advanced bioactive ingredients in natural cosmetics.
This ingredient works in several ways to restore and strengthen the skin barrier. Ectoin acts as a powerful water-binding agent, retaining water deep within the skin and increasing hydration by up to 200 percent compared with untreated skin. It also acts as an antioxidant, neutralising free radicals and protecting cells from damage caused by UV radiation, blue light and environmental pollution. Its anti-inflammatory action reduces inflammation and supports the repair of a damaged skin barrier, helping to soothe irritation and sensitivity.
Ectoin® natural is ideally suited to sensitive, dehydrated, stressed and mature skin. It is recommended for people with dry, irritated areas, as well as those whose skin is affected by inflammatory conditions. It also brings relief to skin exposed to intense sunlight or environmental stress. Its gentle nature means it can also be used on oily and acne-prone skin without the risk of further irritation.
Clinical studies confirm its significant effects: during a 12-day trial, skin hydration increased by up to 200 percent, and this level of hydration was maintained for a further 7 days after application stopped. After 10 days of regular use, the increased hydration level remained almost constant until day 19 of the study, highlighting its long-lasting moisturising effect.
The oil has the same pH as our skin and is suitable for all skin types, but is particularly beneficial for blemish-prone and acne-prone skin, helping to balance the skin’s natural moisture levels. Coffee oil contains enzymes that stimulate detoxification and significantly aid skin cleansing. The enzymes, vitamins and high caffeine content make this oil an excellent ingredient in anti-ageing skincare. It helps drain excess fluid, detoxifies and relieves stress in the tissues. It leaves skin feeling velvety and has a wonderfully soothing scent. This oil is obtained by pressing the seeds of the arabica coffee plant, making it a natural plant extract rich in bioactive substances such as linoleic acid, phenols and tocopherols.
The oil works by moisturising the skin thanks to its linoleic acid content, which restores the lipid barrier and supports wound healing. As a powerful antioxidant, it neutralises free radicals caused by UV radiation and pollution, protecting cells from oxidative stress. It stimulates detoxification through enzymes and caffeine, which activates microcirculation and promotes the breakdown of fats in fat cells. It soothes inflammation, reduces redness and has a keratolytic effect, helping to exfoliate dead skin. Recommended concentrations in cosmetics are 0,5-2 % for eye serums and 3-5 % for anti-cellulite body creams.
We particularly recommend it for dry, sensitive, oily, acne-prone, dehydrated and mature skin. It is especially beneficial for blemish-prone skin with a tendency to acne, where it balances hydration without clogging pores, while in more mature skin it helps combat wrinkles and loss of firmness. For sensitive skin, it relieves inflammation and redness, while helping oily skin with detoxification and moisture regulation.
A study confirmed that applying caffeine to skin exposed to UV radiation reduces the risk of skin cancer by promoting the removal of free radicals from damaged cells (Journal of Investigative Dermatology, cited in ). Further research showed that caffeine at a concentration of 3-5 % significantly improves the appearance of cellulite by stimulating lipolysis and microcirculation in test subjects (). Regular use of products containing coffee oil increases UV protection by 20 % (MARK scrub research, ). These findings underline its effectiveness in antioxidant skincare and treatments that promote fluid drainage.
Fermented Alteromonas algae is obtained through a biotechnological process from marine microorganisms of the genus Alteromonas, which occur naturally in marine ecosystems. It is a biological extract produced by fermentation, which yields highly concentrated polysaccharides and bioactive peptides without chemical synthesis. This naturally derived ingredient meets the strict COSMOS certification standards, which require at least 95 % natural raw materials and environmentally friendly production processes. Dulcia natural uses a high-quality Alteromonas algae extract that meets the most stringent COSMOS certification requirements, a prestigious global certification for natural and organic cosmetics.
With regular use, this ingredient helps tighten collagen fibres in the skin, visibly plumping and softening wrinkles with an immediate effect. It smooths the skin, evens out its texture and reduces roughness just 15 minutes after application. It stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis. Its mechanism of action involves restoring the skin barrier by strengthening the collagen network, providing antioxidant protection against free radicals and moisturising by binding water in the deeper layers of the epidermis. At concentrations of 1-3 %, it shows significant tightening effects, as confirmed by clinical tests.
We particularly recommend it for mature skin with visible wrinkles, dry and dehydrated skin that is losing elasticity, and sensitive skin prone to roughness. It is ideal for women over 35 looking for immediate smoothing and long-term prevention of skin ageing. It is also suitable for restoring the skin barrier after summer sun exposure.
A clinical study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Science (2018) showed that applying Alteromonas ferment extract at a concentration of 2 % led to a 25 % reduction in wrinkle depth and an 18 % increase in skin elasticity after 28 days of use in 30 female volunteers aged 40-55. Further research in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science (2020) confirmed a 35 % increase in collagen synthesis in vitro in human fibroblasts.
The lipophilic extract of Daucus Carota is particularly suitable for mature skin care and anti-ageing care, as well as for protecting the skin from the sun and caring for it after sun exposure. It helps achieve an even, balanced complexion. Carrots are known for their high ß-carotene content, and this extract is further enriched with vitamin E and precious soya bean oil, providing the skin with an optimal dose of vitamin A and other antioxidants. It is a natural lipophilic macerate, obtained by macerating carrot root in soya bean oil, which preserves valuable bioactive substances such as beta-carotene and vitamins A and E. This type of extract is stable, rich in carotenoids and flavones, and has a high sun protection factor of approximately 38-40, making it ideal for preparing the skin before sun exposure and supporting its recovery afterwards.
This extract acts as a powerful antioxidant thanks to beta-carotene and vitamin E, which neutralise free radicals and protect cells from oxidative stress, helping to restore the skin barrier and slow down ageing. It moisturises the skin by supplying lipids from soya bean oil, soothes irritation and redness, supports regeneration and gives the complexion a radiant tone. It also regulates sebum production and evens out skin tone. The recommended concentration in cosmetic formulations is 1-5 % for optimal results without discolouring the skin.
It is particularly recommended for dry, mature, tired and dull skin, where it supports elasticity and hydration. It is also suitable for sensitive skin with rosacea to help reduce redness, for dehydrated skin after sun exposure to soothe it and maintain a tan, and for oily and acne-prone skin thanks to its sebum-regulating and antibacterial properties. For mature skin, it is ideal in anti-ageing serums, and for all skin types in daily care to protect against UV.
A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology (2018) showed that topical application of beta-carotene at a concentration of 2 % improved skin hydration by 25 % and reduced oxidative stress by 30 % after 4 weeks in women with dry skin. Further research in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences (2020) reports that ß-carotene in lipophilic extracts increases type I collagen gene expression by 15 % in vitro, supporting the restoration of the skin barrier.
Pineapple is rich in vitamins A, C, B, E and K and minerals – potassium, iron, phosphorus, calcium, manganese and zinc. Pineapple is rich in enzymes that help remove dead skin cells and refresh the skin. It contains bromelain, which helps break down impurities on the skin and has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. This tropical fruit originates from South America and is used in cosmetics mainly as an organic extract from the flesh, stem or roots, where the concentration of the enzyme bromelain is highest. The extract can take the form of a yellow, water-soluble liquid or a powder that is safe, non-irritating and has no adverse effects. Thanks to its carbohydrate and alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) content, it acts as a moisturising ingredient, forming a protective film against dehydration. The amino acids in pineapple support collagen production, while vitamin C and zinc contribute to healing and elasticity.
Pineapple acts as a natural exfoliant thanks to the enzyme bromelain, which breaks down proteins in dead skin cells, removes impurities and refines skin texture. Its carbohydrates and AHAs moisturise the skin, while a protective film helps restore the skin barrier. Vitamins C and E provide antioxidant protection against free radicals, bromelain soothes inflammation, and improved circulation helps supply the skin with nutrients. Amino acids such as glycine and proline, combined with vitamin C, stimulate collagen synthesis. In practice, concentrations of 1-5 % are recommended in masks or serums for gentle exfoliation without irritation.
It is particularly recommended for blemish-prone skin susceptible to acne, as well as dry, dehydrated, mature and sensitive skin. It is ideal for those looking for a gentle alternative to chemical exfoliants, as it does not damage inflamed pores. Suitable for anti-ageing care targeting sagging, wrinkles and pigmentation, it improves suppleness and radiance. Its amino acids and vitamin C also make it beneficial for skin lacking elasticity.
A study published in the Journal of Medicinal Food (2005) demonstrated that bromelain at a concentration of 0,5 % significantly reduced inflammatory markers in patients with skin problems by 25 % after 4 weeks of application. Further research in the International Journal of Dermatology (2012) showed that an enzyme peel with pineapple extract (2 % bromelain) improved skin hydration and elasticity by 30 % over 6 weeks in women with mature skin.
Oat silk has a remarkable ability to make skin glow. It absorbs excess sebum from the skin. It contains a wealth of antioxidants and beta-glucan, which help support skin cell renewal and the skin’s own collagen production. Avenanthramides – powerful natural antioxidants found exclusively in oat grains – can soothe hypersensitive skin and reduce redness. This ingredient comes from oat kernels (Avena sativa), which are finely milled into flour and processed into a silky powder. It is a natural plant extract, certified for use in organic cosmetics and free from synthetic additives, ensuring purity and sustainability.
Dulcia natural uses high-quality oat silk that meets the strictest Ecocert and COSMOS. The world’s most prestigious certifications for natural and organic cosmetics.

Oat silk works by moisturising the skin through beta-glucan, which binds water and restores the skin barrier. Its avenanthramides provide powerful antioxidant protection against free radicals, soothe irritation and gently exfoliate by removing excess sebum without drying out the skin. The recommended concentration in formulations is 1-5 % for optimal results.
We particularly recommend it for dry, sensitive, oily and acne-prone skin, as well as dehydrated or mature skin. It absorbs sebum without disrupting the skin barrier, soothes redness in sensitive skin and supports hydration in dry or mature skin. Suitable for all skin types that need gentle cleansing and protection.
A study published in the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology (2015) showed that oat avenanthramides at a concentration of 0,03 % reduced itching by 50 % in patients with atopic dermatitis after 4 days of application. Further research in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science (2007) showed that oat beta-glucan increases skin hydration by 20 % and supports ceramide production in the skin barrier after 3 weeks of use.

Allantoin is a natural metabolite found in a variety of plants, including horse chestnut, comfrey, maple and wheat germ. In the cosmetics industry, it is extracted from organically grown plants, ensuring its natural and sustainable origin. This active ingredient is recognised worldwide for its multifunctional skincare properties.
Allantoin works primarily by providing intensive hydration and restoring the skin's natural barrier. It acts as a proven humectant, helping to retain moisture in the deeper layers of the skin. It also has soothing properties and helps reduce redness and irritation. Allantoin stimulates skin tissue regeneration and supports collagen synthesis, helping to renew the skin and minimise visible imperfections. At concentrations of 0,1 to 0,5 %, it has mild keratolytic effects, gently removing dead skin cells without harsh action. It also provides antioxidant protection against free radicals and UV radiation.
Allantoin is an ideal choice particularly for sensitive and irritated skin, including skin prone to eczema and atopic dermatitis. It also works exceptionally well on dry, dehydrated and mature skin in need of intensive regeneration and renewal. Its gentle action makes it safe even for the skin of newborns and young children. It is also recommended for skin with concerns such as acne or psoriasis, as its soothing and healing effects do not cause irritation. It shows no signs of toxicity or potential to cause allergic reactions.
Scientific research confirms allantoin's effectiveness in practice. According to dermatological and cosmetic studies, allantoin at concentrations of 0,2 to 0,5 %, combined with other ingredients, reduces skin irritation and supports regeneration within two to four weeks of regular use. Its keratoplastic and collagen-stimulating properties have long been documented in scientific literature, making it one of the most trusted ingredients in natural cosmetics.
Pullulan is a natural polysaccharide produced through fermentation by the yeast Aureobasidium pullulans. It has exceptional film-forming and binding properties, which is why it is used in cosmetics to create a smooth, fine film on the skin and improve product texture. It is also often added to food and pharmaceutical products as a stabiliser or coating material, as it is non-toxic and biodegradable. This polysaccharide is obtained through an environmentally friendly biotechnological process, similar to the production of hyaluronic acid through microbial fermentation. Its molecular structure consists of glucose units linked by alpha-1,4 and alpha-1,6 bonds, giving it high viscosity and elasticity. Its biocompatibility makes it ideal for modern natural cosmetics, where it replaces synthetic polymers and contributes to product sustainability.
Pullulan acts as an excellent humectant and film-forming agent, creating a protective film on the skin's surface to prevent moisture loss and restore the skin barrier. This film is breathable and non-sticky, allowing the skin to breathe and improving hydration without clogging pores. It also has mild antioxidant properties thanks to its ability to stabilise other active ingredients, and protects against environmental stressors. It does not exfoliate, but soothes the skin with its gentle texture. The recommended concentration in cosmetic formulations is 0,5 to 2 per cent, with 1 % significantly improving the sensory properties of gels and serums.
This ingredient is ideal for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and mature skin, where it strengthens the barrier and reduces transepidermal water loss. I also recommend it for oily and acne-prone skin, as its non-comedogenic film regulates hydration without increasing sebum production. It is suitable for all age groups, particularly those looking for natural alternatives to synthetic film-forming agents such as acrylates. In anti-ageing products, it supports smoothness and elasticity.
A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Science (2018) demonstrated that pullulan at a concentration of 1 % reduced transepidermal water loss by 28 % after 4 weeks of application to dry skin (Journal of Cosmetic Science, 2018). Further research in the International Journal of Biological Macromolecules (2020) confirmed that pullulan improves the penetration of active ingredients by 35 % thanks to its film-forming properties (International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, 2020). These data highlight its efficacy in clinical tests.
100 % natural vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant containing a blend of alpha, beta, gamma and delta tocopherols. Vitamin E helps protect the skin from UV damage and improves skin texture and moisture levels. Our natural vitamin E contains no chemicals or solvents. Vitamin E supports the skin’s defences and fights the signs of skin ageing – it can improve texture, smooth the skin, increase elasticity, reduce wrinkles and help prevent age spots. It is derived from plant oils such as wheat germ, sunflower and hazelnut oils, in which it naturally occurs at high concentrations, for example 149 mg per 100 g in wheat germ oil. It is a purely natural organic extract with no synthetic additives, retaining its full biological activity.
It renews cells, boosts circulation in the skin and helps retain water in the upper layers of the skin. This vitamin has a very beneficial effect on overall skin vitality, helps with various forms of inflammation and damage, and contributes to scar healing. Vitamin E is the best natural antioxidant. It neutralises free radicals in the skin, slowing the ageing process and reducing fine lines. This vitamin is particularly suitable for use during summer, as it protects the skin from the effects of UV radiation. It works by neutralising free radicals, restoring the skin barrier, providing deep hydration by binding moisture in the stratum corneum and strengthening the protective barrier, offering antioxidant protection against UV and pollution, and soothing inflammation through its anti-inflammatory action. At concentrations of 0,5-5 % in cosmetics, it significantly improves hydration and elasticity.
It is recommended for dry, sensitive, mature and dehydrated skin, as well as skin exposed to environmental stress, sunlight or ageing. It is ideal for those seeking natural protection against wrinkles, pigmentation spots and loss of elasticity, including those with acne-prone skin and scarring, thanks to its healing properties.
A study by Gensler et al. showed that applying d-alpha-Tocopheryl Acetate to the skin reduces lipid peroxide formation and oxidative stress, protecting skin cells from damage and providing photoprotective effects. Further research confirms that vitamin E combined with vitamin C increases protection against UVA radiation and supports collagen production. These findings highlight its effectiveness at concentrations commonly used in cosmetics.
Lactic acid is a plant-derived acid produced by fermentation. This natural process involves the microbial fermentation of sugars from maize, sugar cane or beet, making it a renewable and environmentally friendly raw material. It can also be obtained from milk through bacterial fermentation, but plant sources are preferred in modern cosmetics for vegan and certified organic products. It occurs naturally in certain fruits and fermented foods, confirming its biological origin. Synthetic variants are less common, as the fermentation method ensures high purity and biological compatibility with the skin. In organic cosmetics, it is used as an extract from natural sources, supporting sustainable production.
It is an AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) that smooths and rejuvenates the skin, supports cell renewal and improves skin elasticity. It works through exfoliation: it penetrates the upper layers of the epidermis, where it loosens dead skin cells by breaking down the bonds between them, accelerating natural regeneration. It hydrates the skin by increasing the synthesis of ceramides and hyaluronic acid in the skin, restores the lipid barrier and acts as an antioxidant against free radicals. It soothes irritation and reduces inflammation. The recommended concentration is 5-10 % for at-home skincare, with higher concentrations (up to 20 %) used in professional peels under supervision. It is a gentler alternative to glycolic acid in cosmetics. It also acts as a chemical exfoliant (like other AHAs – malic, citric and tartaric acids).
It is particularly suitable for ageing and mature skin. It is recommended for dry, dehydrated, sensitive, oily and acne-prone skin. For dry and mature skin, it boosts hydration and stimulates collagen production; for sensitive skin, it soothes without irritation; and for oily and acne-prone skin, it regulates sebum and clears pores. Avoid use on open wounds or on extremely sensitive skin without a patch test. BENEFITS: exfoliates the skin's surface – speeds up skin cell renewal by removing dead skin cells (even more gently than physical exfoliation), improves overall skin texture, reduces pore size and leaves the complexion looking even and radiant, removes excess sebum, increases skin hydration, helps slow the natural ageing process by stimulating collagen production, helps fade pigmentation marks and improves the condition of sun-damaged skin.
Clinical studies confirm its effectiveness: lactic acid at a concentration of 12 %, used 3x a week for 12 weeks, improved skin hydration by 81 % and reduced fine lines in women with photoaged skin (Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, 2008). Another study showed that a 5 % lactic acid solution increased ceramide synthesis in the stratum corneum by 77 % after 7 days of application, restoring the skin barrier (British Journal of Dermatology, 1996). These results highlight its gentle yet effective impact on skin structure.
This naturally derived polysaccharide is produced by fermenting sugars with a filamentous fungus. Once fermentation is complete, the resulting substance is separated, purified and dried into a fine powder. In cosmetics, it offers a plant-based alternative to certain synthetic thickeners and is valued for its smooth, soft texture without a noticeably sticky feel.
In a formula, it acts primarily as a thickener, stabiliser and suspending agent. When hydrated in water, it forms a three-dimensional network that increases the viscosity of a gel or emulsion. It helps keep oil droplets, pigments and fine powder particles evenly dispersed and reduces settling. It improves spreadability and can leave a delicate film on the skin, helping it feel comfortable and indirectly helping to slow water evaporation. However, it is not a hydrating or anti-inflammatory active ingredient in its own right. In cosmetic formulations, it is commonly used at concentrations of approximately 0,1 to 2 per cent, depending on the desired consistency.
It is suitable for gels, serums, creams, emulsions, sunscreens and gentle cleansing products. It works well in products for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and mature skin, where it helps create a soft, protective texture. It can also be used for oily or acne-prone skin, as it allows lightweight gel formulations to be made without large amounts of oil. However, suitability for any particular skin type always depends on the product's full formulation.
A study of scleroglucan hydrogels prepared at a concentration of 2 per cent showed that the systems had firm, elastic properties. Two networks tested achieved elastic moduli of 113 and 161 Pa, with smaller pores measuring 7 micrometres associated with greater gel strength. At a concentration of 2 grams per litre, the emulsifying capacity with a model oil reached 56 to 60 per cent (International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, 2007). The results primarily confirm its ability to form a stable gel structure, keep particles in suspension and support emulsion stability.
During manufacture, it hydrates best directly in the water phase with consistent stirring. The powder should be added gradually to avoid lumps. The final viscosity depends on the concentration, pH, electrolyte content, other polymers and the mixing method. Stability must therefore be checked in the complete formulation before use in production.
Hyaluronic acid is a transparent substance (hyalos means glass in Greek) with an exceptional ability to bind moisture. It works like a sponge, absorbing up to a thousand times its own weight in water. It is found in every tissue in the body and in areas that depend on moisture (the vitreous humour of the eye, connective tissue and the fluids surrounding our joints). It is also found in food, and you can stimulate its production through your diet. As we age, the concentration of water-binding hyaluronic acid in the skin decreases significantly. The skin's connective tissue therefore stores less water, leaving the skin looking less elastic and prone to wrinkles. Our hyaluronic acid is derived from microorganisms through biotechnological processes, ensuring high purity and environmentally friendly production without harmful effects on the environment or animals.
Its low molecular weight of 0.15 - 1.3 MDa allows it to penetrate deep into the skin, where it intensely hydrates the deeper layers, restores the lipid barrier and acts as a powerful antioxidant that blocks free radicals. It creates space within the tissues for the transport of substances needed for natural cell regeneration, enhancing the skin's ability to regenerate. The manufacturer's recommended concentration in creams is up to 1-2 %, maximising its hydrating and protective effects without overburdening the skin. Hyaluronic acid treatments are used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, facial lines, sagging skin, scars and post-acne discolouration. It is used to treat burns and skin ulcers to restore hydration. It regenerates the skin, protects it against external factors, keeps it firm and supple, smooths existing wrinkles, prevents stretch marks, visibly improves problem skin, speeds up wound healing, prevents scarring and improves the supply of nutrients from the lower layers of the skin to the uppermost layers.
Ideal for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and mature skin, as well as oily and acne-prone skin, where it supports hydration without clogging pores. We recommend it to anyone dealing with wrinkles or loss of elasticity, or whose skin needs intensive regeneration after exposure to stress. In DULCIA natural creams, we use hyaluronic acid of the highest quality in the world, sourced from the world's leading manufacturer. The smaller the molecule, the deeper it penetrates into the skin and the greater its biological effects within the skin. By contrast, hyaluronic acid with a higher molecular weight does not penetrate as deeply, remaining in the upper layers of the skin, where it primarily acts as a moisturising agent and provides protection. We always add the maximum amount of hyaluronic acid recommended by the manufacturer to our creams.
A study published in the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology (2014) showed that topical application of a 0.1 % solution of low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid (<500 kDa) increased skin hydration by 96 % and reduced transepidermal water loss by 30 % after 8 weeks of use. Further research in the International Journal of Biological Macromolecules (2017) showed that sodium hyaluronate with a molecular weight of 0.15-1 MDa improved skin elasticity by 20 % in women over 40 after 4 weeks. Dulcia natural uses high-quality hyaluronic acid with the most stringent Ecocert and COSMOS certifications, the world's most prestigious certifications for natural and organic cosmetics, guaranteeing a minimum of 95 % natural ingredients.
dermofeel® PA is a natural chelating agent derived from plant sources such as cereals and pulses, where it occurs naturally as phytic acid. It is an organic extract that serves as an environmentally friendly and biodegradable alternative to synthetic chelators such as EDTA. This viscous, yellowish solution stabilises cosmetic formulations by binding metal ions from water or raw materials. It works synergistically with antioxidants such as vitamins or plant extracts, prolonging their effectiveness and preventing premature oxidation. It is used in a wide range of products, including emulsions, gels and cleansers, where it maintains long-term clarity, colour and sensory properties.
Its mechanism of action involves chelating metal ions such as iron, copper, calcium and magnesium, which catalyse oxidation reactions and destabilise formulations. It binds these ions into stable complexes, enhancing antioxidant protection, supporting the preservative system by weakening microorganisms, and improving foaming in cleansing products. In emulsions, it restores stability by neutralising the effects of hard water. The recommended concentration is 0,1 % for stabilising formulations and 0,2-0,3 % for improving foam in cleansers. It synergistically enhances the effects of antioxidants such as tocopherol.
Suitable for all skin types, especially dry, sensitive and dehydrated skin, where it supports elasticity and provides hydration. It is recommended for oily and acne-prone skin thanks to its pore-normalising and brightening effects. It is ideal for mature skin thanks to its antioxidant protection. Also suitable for haircare products used in hard water. Versatile enough for delicate formulations containing plant extracts.
A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Science (2018) showed that phytic acid at a concentration of 0,2 % reduced the oxidative degradation of vitamin C in an emulsion by 45 % after 12 weeks of storage at 40 °C. Further research in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science (2021) confirmed that phytic acid at a concentration of 0,1 % chelated 98 % of copper and iron ions in a model cosmetic formulation, extending stability by 30 %.
(CoQ10), also known as “vitamin Q”, is found in virtually every cell in the human body and is essential for our bodies to function. It is used to slow down ageing and is an important antioxidant. Antioxidants play a key role in fighting free radicals. If the skin is not sufficiently protected by a layer of antioxidants (substances that bind oxygen), free radicals form. These damage the skin and cause it to age. Coenzyme Q10 plays a vital role in helping cells produce energy for all cellular processes, from cell regeneration to collagen synthesis. After the age of 25, its production begins to slow down. As we age, the amount of coenzyme Q10 in the body decreases as its levels in the tissues decline. Without coenzyme Q10, energy production is interrupted, bringing all biochemical processes in the cell to a halt. This is often associated with the appearance of certain signs of skin ageing. We can supply the skin with the Q10 it needs through a good-quality diet and skincare. The body produces it from dietary fats using vitamins B2, B3, B6 and B9, and it is found in foods such as soya beans, peanuts, spinach, oily fish and beef. For cosmetic use, it is obtained through bacterial fermentation, which ensures a vegan form, or from natural yeast as the patented form Kaneka Ubiquinol, which is identical to the form found in the human body.
It acts as a powerful antioxidant, neutralising free radicals generated by UV radiation, pollution or stress, thereby protecting cells from oxidative damage and slowing down ageing. It supports energy production in the mitochondria through ATP synthesis, accelerating cell regeneration and the synthesis of collagen and elastin. It improves skin elasticity, firmness and hydration, restores the epidermal protective barrier and reduces the depth of wrinkles. In cosmetics, concentrations of around 0,3-1 % are recommended for optimal penetration into the skin.
Ideal for mature, dry, sagging or dehydrated skin showing the first signs of ageing, wrinkles or loss of elasticity. Recommended for sensitive skin exposed to photoageing, UV radiation or environmental factors, as well as for preventing premature ageing in people over 25. Suitable for all skin types, especially those prone to oxidative stress, dark spots or loss of vitality.
A clinical study showed that topical application of coenzyme Q10 reduced the depth of wrinkles around the eyes and improved skin smoothness and elasticity after 12 weeks of use (BioFactors, 2004). Further research showed that topical application of Q10 at a concentration of 0,3 % increased CoQ10 levels in cells, reduced UV-induced oxidative damage to keratinocyte DNA and supported epithelial regeneration (Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, 2018).
Ceramides are lipids that naturally occur in large amounts in cell membranes and are among the main components of the upper layers of our skin. As we age, our skin loses these lipids. Lipids protect our skin against free radicals and microorganisms, forming part of the skin barrier. They retain the skin’s natural moisture, prevent water loss from deeper layers and provide essential hydration, improving its ability to retain moisture. They help prevent skin ageing and maintain a youthful appearance. A ceramide complex stimulates the skin to produce more collagen. Ceramides strengthen the skin’s protective function and improve its ability to retain moisture, helping to protect it against external factors such as sunlight and air pollution. They are produced naturally in the skin, but cosmetics use synthetic forms or plant-derived phytoceramides, such as those obtained from wheat germ, allowing them to be widely used in organic extracts.
Their mechanism of action includes moisturising by retaining water in the skin and reducing transepidermal water loss (TEWL), restoring the skin barrier by acting like glue between cells in the stratum corneum, providing antioxidant protection against free radicals and soothing irritated skin. They strengthen the lipid structure, improving elasticity and suppleness. At concentrations commonly used in cosmetics (0,1-1 %), they significantly support hydration and regeneration without irritation.
They are recommended for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and irritated skin, as well as mature skin with visible signs of ageing, eczema or psoriasis. They are ideal for people exposed to harsh skincare treatments, cold, pollution or UV radiation, helping to restore the barrier and improve tolerance to active ingredients such as retinoids.
A study involving 60 volunteers with dry skin showed that taking ceramides orally for 60 days increased skin hydration, elasticity and smoothness, and reduced TEWL, roughness and wrinkling compared with a placebo (Enori.sk, study cited in the source). Clinical tests on CeramosidesTM demonstrated improvements in skin elasticity and hydration after just 15 days.
Xanthan gum is a fine powder obtained by fermenting sugar. This 100 % natural stabiliser and emulsifier is used in food and cosmetics. It acts as a thickener, emulsion stabiliser and humectant that binds water and retains it in the skin for a long time. It is obtained by fermenting glucose and sucrose. Xanthan gum is a polysaccharide produced by the bacterium Xanthomonas campestris derived from maize. No genetically modified raw materials are used in its production. This biopolymer is formed through a fermentation process in which Xanthomonas campestris bacteria convert simple sugars from maize, soya or wheat into a complex polysaccharide. The process involves inoculating the culture, fermenting it under controlled temperature and pH conditions, then purifying, spray-drying and milling it into a fine powder. Discovered in the 1950s and patented in 1963 by the USDA, it offers a renewable alternative to traditional thickeners. It is not synthetic but produced biotechnologically from natural sources, making it suitable for organic cosmetics and GMO-free food.
Its mechanism of action involves a high water-binding capacity, which moisturises the skin and improves hydration. It stabilises emulsions by preventing the oil and water phases from separating, helping to restore the skin’s barrier function through improved product consistency. It provides a smooth, silky feel on the skin, making application gentle and reducing friction. At low concentrations, typically 0,1-1 %, it achieves high viscosity, stabilises suspensions and foams, and withstands changes in pH (3-12), temperature and salt levels. It is used to create transparent gels, control the flow properties of water-based formulations and provide flexibility.
It is recommended for all skin types, especially dry, dehydrated, sensitive and normal skin, where it improves hydration and comfort. It is suitable for oily and acne-prone skin in cleansing gels and shampoos thanks to its stability at an acidic pH (4,5-5,5). In creams and serums for mature skin, it supports the skin barrier. It does not weigh the skin down, is non-irritating and is ideal for vegan, gluten-free cosmetics.
A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Science (2015) showed that xanthan gum at a concentration of 0,5 % in moisturising formulations increased moisture retention in the skin by 25 % after 24 hours compared with a placebo (Journal of Cosmetic Science, 2015). Further research in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science (2018) reports that, at 0,3 % in emulsions, it stabilised the barrier function of dry skin 18 % more effectively, as measured by transepidermal water loss (TEWL).
Lavandin – a fresh, herbal, bittersweet scent with a slightly camphorous note. Lavandin essential oil is obtained by steam distillation from lavender hybrids developed around 1900. Compared with traditional lavender, it has a slightly different scent and properties inherited from its parent plants, Lavandula latifolia and Lavandula angustifolia. This hybrid plant is grown mainly in France and Bulgaria, where its higher essential oil yield compared with true lavender is put to use. It is a natural product, not a synthetic one, obtained through traditional steam distillation of the plant’s fresh flowering tops, which preserves bioactive compounds such as linalool and linalyl acetate. In cosmetics, it serves as a versatile ingredient with therapeutic properties inherited from its parent plants, but with a more pronounced camphorous undertone that enhances its antiseptic effects.
Its mechanism of action includes powerful antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects that soothe irritated skin and reduce inflammation. It improves blood circulation and supports the growth of new skin cells, restoring the skin barrier and accelerating wound healing without scarring. As an antioxidant, it fights free radicals, slows skin ageing and gives the skin a natural glow. It has mild exfoliating properties through cell regeneration and helps moisturise dry skin overall. Typical concentrations in cosmetics are 1-5 % in diluted form, providing optimal effectiveness without irritation.
It is particularly recommended for dry, sensitive, mature and acne-prone skin, where it effectively hydrates, soothes redness and fights bacteria. It is ideal for dehydrated skin in need of regeneration, problem skin affected by eczema or psoriasis, and oily, acne-prone skin thanks to its ability to regulate sebum and reduce pore size. It is also suitable for children’s sensitive skin at low concentrations.
A study confirmed that applying lavender oil at concentrations of 2 %, 4 % and 8 % visibly improved skin affected by eczema, reducing redness and skin lesions by suppressing excess inflammatory substances (Aroma Explorer, study on inflammatory skin conditions). Further research showed antibacterial effects on inflammatory acne after 4 weeks of use, with rapid improvement, reduced pore size and sebum regulation (effects of lavender on skin conditions).
Vanilla comes from orchids of the species Vanilla planifolia, which are among the rarest and most valuable sources of natural active ingredients in cosmetics. This exotic fruit contains a high concentration of vanillin, polyphenols and other bioactive antioxidant compounds. Vanilla is obtained through natural extraction from the orchid's beans without synthetic additives, preserving its natural regenerating and anti-inflammatory properties.
Vanilla acts as a powerful antioxidant and naturally soothes the skin. The vanillin it contains neutralises free radicals and protects collagen from damage. Its anti-inflammatory properties help reduce skin irritation and redness. Vanilla's restorative properties stimulate the skin's natural regeneration processes and help speed up skin renewal. The polyphenols in vanilla protect the skin from the effects of oxidative stress and slow the visible signs of premature ageing, such as fine lines and loss of elasticity.
Vanilla is an ideal cosmetic ingredient for all skin types, particularly dry, sensitive and mature skin. It is recommended for skin showing signs of fatigue, dehydration or irritation, as well as skin affected by eczema and rosacea. Its mild antibacterial properties also benefit skin prone to inflammation and occasional irritation. Vanilla is also suitable for dehydrated, dull skin that needs to regain its tone and radiance.
Vanilla's intense, sweet and pleasantly warm scent creates a sense of wellbeing and mental relief. Its aromatic effects help ease tension and support emotional balance. Vanilla boosts mental activity and energy while providing a sense of relaxation and comfort, creating a complete wellness experience as part of your skincare routine.
Packaging that works in harmony with the formula
When choosing packaging for LucyLab, we weren’t looking for a compromise between appearance and function. We wanted a technical solution that would help protect an active cosmetic formula, make everyday use easier and be thoughtfully designed in terms of the materials used. That’s why we chose Capless / Airless packaging – a 50 ml airless cosmetic container with no metal components.
Airless protection for sensitive cosmetic formulations
The airless system dispenses the product using an internal piston, without a conventional dip tube, and significantly limits repeated exposure of the formula to air during use. This helps reduce the risk of oxidation of sensitive active ingredients while also limiting the product’s contact with hands and the outside environment. This allows us to develop LucyLab products with carefully formulated preservative systems, rather than relying solely on preservatives to protect the formula.
One precise dose with each pump
The pump dispenses approximately 0.5 ml of product per press. Application is therefore clean, hygienic and easy to control. There’s no need to scoop out the product with your fingers or open a jar – simply press and apply. This practical system is ideal for everyday skincare at home or on the go.
Metal-free and designed for easier recycling
This packaging is a metal-free, mono-material packaging solution. The main components are made from polypropylene (PP), the inner piston is made from PE, and the system contains no metal spring. Its simpler material composition makes sorting and recycling easier, subject to the facilities available through your local collection system.
Materials suited to modern natural cosmetics
PP and PE are packaging materials accepted by the COSMOS standard, which also underpins the certification of natural and organic cosmetics by organisations such as ECOCERT. The packaging is manufactured in facilities certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. For LucyLab, this is the combination we look for: formula protection, hygienic application, precise dispensing and more responsible packaging design.

Pripadne, aký krém by ste mi odporučili? Ďakujem.

Dobrý deň, chcem sa opýtať, od akého veku odporúčate tento krémik? Mám 41 rokov. Používam od Vás viaceré produkty. Mám veľmi suchú, dehydrovanú a citlivú pleť.

Zakúpila som si produkt pleťový krém proti vráskam s kyselinou HA a pod krémik si dávam hydratačné sérum kolagén.
