Eyeseryl® peptide is a tetrapeptide with proven efficacy against puffy under-eye bags. Eyeseryl® peptide solution G contains a tetrapeptide with anti-oedema properties and proven efficacy in reducing puffy under-eye bags in just 15 days. It is specially designed for eye care products. This tetrapeptide is intended to improve the appearance of the eye contour in men and women. A reduction in the appearance of under-eye bags and dark circles was observed from 14 days. Eyeseryl® helps reduce the build-up of fluid trapped in the under-eye area. It reduces the appearance of puffy eyes and diminishes dark patches and circles under the eyes. Water can accumulate on the eyelids and under the eyes overnight, causing puffiness. Eyeseryl® peptide supports lymphatic circulation. As circulation improves, stagnant water begins to flow and puffiness is significantly reduced. Loss of elasticity also causes under-eye bags, as the skin in this very sensitive area becomes loose. This synthetically produced ingredient is specially designed as a bioactive peptide solution based on acetyl tetrapeptide-5 in a glycerine and water carrier. Originally developed in a laboratory to address concerns affecting the delicate skin around the eyes, it is not extracted from plants but is a biotechnologically optimised tetrapeptide that mimics the skin's natural regulatory mechanisms. It retains the purity and stability typical of modern cosmetic peptides, without natural impurities.

Its mechanism of action involves supporting lymphatic drainage and reducing oedema by inhibiting enzymes that retain fluid in the tissue. It moisturises and firms the skin around the eyes, restores elasticity and soothes irritation. It supports microcirculation, reducing water stagnation and improving the appearance of dark circles. The recommended concentration in formulations is 1-3 % for visible results without irritation.

Another test involving 28 women showed a 14,9 % reduction in under-eye oedema after 28 days at a concentration of 3 % (Cosmetics & Toiletries, 2010).
