REPLEXIUM™ peptide

Dimethyl Isosorbide (and) Polysorbate 20 (and) Water (and) Acetyl Tetrapeptide-11 (and) Acetyl Tetrapeptide-9

This synergistic blend of patented peptides and proteins is derived from purified soya and rice peptides combined with biotechnologically produced yeast proteins. The soya peptides come from fermented soya beans, which are rich in proteins, amino acids and isoflavones, while the rice peptides are extracted from fermented rice. The yeast proteins are produced using yeasts such as Saccharomyces cerevisiae in biotechnological processes, where they serve as effective tools in synthetic biology to produce highly purified proteins. Thanks to its carrier ingredients, this complex is specially designed to penetrate deep into the skin, ensuring fast, visible results in tackling skin ageing.

The complex increases dermal density by stimulating fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin, firming the skin's structure and visibly reducing three different types of wrinkles – forehead lines, wrinkles around the eyes and nasolabial folds. Its mechanism involves signalling peptides that prompt cells to produce new proteins, enzyme inhibitors that slow collagen breakdown, and strengthening of the skin barrier. These peptides act as antioxidants, protecting against oxidative stress, soothing irritation and supporting regeneration. In clinical tests, a similar peptide complex, such as Matrixyl, has been shown to almost double collagen synthesis. The recommended concentration in formulations is typically 1-5 % for optimal anti-ageing effects.

It is particularly recommended for mature skin with visible wrinkles, dry and dehydrated skin in need of barrier repair, and sensitive skin, where peptides help relieve irritation caused by retinoids or environmental factors. It is suitable for skin with reduced density, tired skin or sun-damaged skin. The combination of soya and rice peptides moisturises and nourishes, while yeast proteins improve elasticity, making it ideal for anti-ageing routines for people over 30. For sensitive skin, apply it in the morning and use retinol in the evening.

A clinical study of a marine collagen peptide and plant antioxidants demonstrated significant improvements in skin elasticity, sebum production and dermal density, with a 20-30 % increase in systemic markers of collagen synthesis after 8 weeks of supplementation (LOVIO clinical study, 2023). Similarly, signalling peptides such as Matrixyl at a concentration of 3 % doubled collagen synthesis in a 2005 clinical study (Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology).
