MultiMoist CLR™

Fructooligosaccharides, Beta Vulgaris (Beet) Root Extract, Water

MultiMoist CLR™ activates the production of the vitamin D receptor (VDR) and promotes VDR activation. MultiMoist CLR™ also enhances the effect of vitamin D. As a result, the skin is more hydrated. It provides immediate and long-term moisturizing benefits. In addition, the activity of MultiMoist CLR™ was demonstrated in a consumer study, which confirmed a subjective improvement in skin moisture content, skin smoothness and skin appearance. This complex comes from natural sources, where fructooligosaccharides are oligosaccharide fructans obtained from blue agave, bananas, onions, garlic or horseradish, while Beta vulgaris root extract, known as red beet, is a plant extract rich in betaines and natural pigments. Water serves as a carrier ingredient for a stable formulation. It is a bioextract with prebiotic properties that supports the natural microbiome of the skin and protects it from external influences.

MultiMoist CLR™ acts as a powerful humectant that binds water in the skin and hair, thereby restoring the skin barrier and increasing its resilience. It has soothing effects, reduces irritation and promotes smoothness. As an antioxidant, it protects against oxidative stress, and its prebiotic properties maintain the microbiome. In hair cosmetics, it functions as a conditioner: it improves combability, reduces breakage during combing, prevents hair loss and significantly reduces frizz. The mechanism lies in the activation of the VDR receptor, which enhances hydration and improves elasticity over the long term. The typical concentration in formulations is 1–5%, where it shows both immediate and cumulative moisturizing effects.

It is recommended for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and mature skin, where it intensively replenishes moisture and strengthens the barrier. It is also suitable for oily and acne-prone skin thanks to its prebiotic effect, which balances the microbiome without clogging pores. For hair, it is ideal for damaged, brittle or frizzy types, especially for people with a dehydrated scalp. It is not recommended in case of known hypersensitivity to beet or oligosaccharides, although topical applications are safe.

A consumer study confirmed that MultiMoist CLR™ at a concentration of 2% improved subjective skin moisture content by 25%, smoothness by 30% and overall appearance by 28% after 4 weeks of use (in-house study by CLR). Fructooligosaccharides improve hair hydration and reduce frizz by 40% according to clinical tests (Journal of Cosmetic Science, 2018).
