Emulium® Mellifera

Emulium® Mellifera is a natural emulsifier of pure origin created by combining four biologically active ingredients: jojoba oil, beeswax, and polyglyceryl derivatives. These ingredients are extracted from renewable sources and together create a synergistic complex. Jojoba oil is known for its ability to penetrate the skin, while beeswax serves as a natural emulsion stabilizer. Cetyl alcohol, which is also of natural origin, further supports the homogenization of the ingredients. The entire formulation is designed to reflect the natural lipid composition of human skin, thereby reducing the risk of irritation.

Emulium® Mellifera works on the principle of a so-called nonionic emulsifier, which combines water and oil into a stable emulsion without the use of synthetic chemicals. Its mechanism lies in restoring and strengthening the skin’s hydrolipid barrier. At the same time, jojoba oil and beeswax provide intense hydration and regeneration, while polyglyceryl ingredients ensure even distribution of moisture in the skin. The result is lasting hydration without an oily film on the surface. The recommended concentration in cosmetic formulations ranges from 2 to 5 percent depending on the type of final product.

This raw material is ideal for people with dry, sensitive, dehydrated, and extremely reactive skin. It is also recommended for children and people prone to couperose or rosacea. Thanks to its gentle composition without synthetic emulsifiers, it is also suitable for skin with reduced tolerance to common cosmetic ingredients. Scientific studies confirm the effectiveness of natural emulsifiers similar to Emulium® Mellifera. Research published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology (2019) showed that formulations with natural beeswax and plant oils increased skin hydration by 42 percent after four weeks of regular use. At the same time, it was found that these products reduced the skin’s inflammatory response in sensitive individuals by 38 percent. Additionally, studies confirmed that natural emulsifiers based on plant oils improve moisture retention and support the regeneration of the skin barrier without undesirable side effects.
