Phytosan™
Water, Glycerine, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract
Organic soy bean extract is derived from Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract, a bio extract from soybeans. This natural extract is rich in isoflavones such as genistein and daidzein, which act as powerful antioxidants. It is produced by gentle extraction from organically grown soybeans, preserving its bioactive components. It also contains polysaccharides and phytosterols, which contribute to its protective properties against environmental stressors. This extract is water-soluble and stable in cosmetic formulations, allowing its wide use in serums, creams, and ampoules.
Organic soy bean extract acts against biological and UV-induced premature skin aging. It protects the skin from UV-induced energy loss and stimulates the skin's regenerative functions. It increases collagen production, improves skin firmness, and reduces roughness and wrinkle depth. As an antioxidant, it neutralizes free radicals and restores the skin barrier by supporting the synthesis of ceramides and lipids. It has soothing effects, reduces inflammation, and moisturizes the skin thanks to its glycerin content. It stimulates cell regeneration and protects mitochondria from oxidative stress, thereby preventing energy loss in skin cells. The recommended concentration is 1-5% depending on the formulation.
It is especially recommended for mature skin, dry and dehydrated skin, sensitive skin exposed to UV radiation, and skin with the first signs of aging. It is ideal for people over 30 who want wrinkle prevention, improved elasticity, and protection against photoaging. It is also suitable for normal skin as part of an anti-aging routine. It is not recommended for people allergic to soy.
A study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry (2008) showed that genistein from soy extract at a concentration of 10 μM increased type I collagen production by 25% in human fibroblasts after 48 hours of exposure. Another study in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences (2019) showed that soy isoflavones at a 2% concentration reduced wrinkle depth by 15% after 12 weeks of topical application to photo-damaged skin.
