Renewing booster to reduce wrinkles and even skin tone
A concentrated booster with 5% bakuchiol supports skin renewal, softens wrinkles and helps improve skin elasticity. Bakuchiol is a plant-based active ingredient with effects comparable to retinol. It evens skin tone, has antioxidant properties and gives tired skin a smoother, firmer and more revitalised appearance. It is well tolerated, making it a gentler yet highly effective option even for skin that is irritated by retinoids.
This booster is not a serum on its own. With each use, mix 1-3 drops into one dose of the product recommended by your MyLab personalisation. The booster's light, concentrated formula blends easily with the product, adding targeted care without an extra step in your routine.
MyLab personalisation with a booster
Boosters are highly concentrated products designed to personalise your skincare in a targeted way. They add highly active care to your chosen product, tailored to what your skin currently needs - without having to change your entire routine.
- Choose the product you want to personalise.
- MyLab will recommend a suitable booster based on your skin's current needs.
- Mix 1-3 drops of booster into one dose of the product in your hand, following the personalisation recommendation.
The result is skincare tailored to your skin. Always add the booster just before use to one dose of serum, cream, cleanser or eye care product. Do not add it directly to the entire product container.
What the booster targets
- Wrinkles and fine lines: helps soften their appearance and supports a smoother skin texture.
- Pigmentation: helps even skin tone, brighten the complexion and reduce the appearance of uneven colour.
- Loss of elasticity and firmness: supports a more youthful-looking complexion that appears firmer, more elastic and revitalised.
- Sluggish skin renewal: supports the skin's natural regenerative processes and helps restore a fresher appearance to tired skin.
- Oxidative stress: bakuchiol's antioxidant properties help protect the skin from free radicals, which contribute to premature signs of ageing.
Who it's for
The 5% bakuchiol booster is suitable for normal, dry, oily and combination skin. It is particularly suited to:
- skin with visible wrinkles and loss of elasticity,
- skin with pigmentation and uneven tone,
- tired skin that needs support with renewal,
- sensitive skin and skin prone to imperfections,
- skin that becomes irritated by retinoids.
Key ingredients
- Bakuchiol: a highly concentrated plant-based active ingredient that helps support skin renewal, soften wrinkles, improve elasticity and even skin tone. Its cosmetic effects are often compared to those of retinol. It also acts as an antioxidant and helps protect the skin from oxidative stress. In a randomised, double-blind study of 44 participants, after 12 weeks it reduced the area of wrinkles and pigmentation to a similar extent as retinol.
Texture
The lightweight, silky oil texture is easy to measure out drop by drop and blends easily with serum or cream. The mixture spreads pleasantly over the skin, leaving it soft, smooth and comfortable, without a heavy, greasy film.
How to use
Add 1-3 drops of booster to one dose of your favourite product, as recommended by MyLab personalisation. Mix in your palm until evenly blended, then apply as directed for the product you are personalising.
Do not use the booster on its own or add it to the entire product container. Avoid direct contact with the eyes and do not use on irritated or damaged skin. Unless MyLab personalisation advises otherwise, do not combine it with retinol, AHA acids or another exfoliating product in the same routine. Use a product with SPF during the day. Do not exceed the recommended dose - more drops do not mean better results.

Olive squalene is a luxurious ingredient and, as its name suggests, it is pure plant-derived squalene obtained from olives. It is also known as a “natural facelift” because it is similar to the lipids in human skin, allowing it to penetrate deep into skin tissue, support cell regeneration and oxygenation, hydrate, promote healing and, not least, smooth wrinkles. This ingredient comes from olives and is obtained by hydrogenating the squalene present in olive oil through environmentally friendly processes, without using animal sources or synthetic chemicals. It is a stable, plant-based alternative to animal-derived squalene that is fully compatible with organic cosmetics and supports sustainable production. Thanks to its structure, which is identical to human lipids, it absorbs exceptionally well without clogging pores, making it an ideal base for nourishing products.
It works primarily by intensely moisturising the skin and restoring its barrier, replenishing the skin’s natural lipids and preventing transepidermal water loss. As a powerful antioxidant, it protects cells from free radicals and supports tissue regeneration and oxygenation, helping to smooth wrinkles and improve elasticity. It also soothes irritation and speeds up healing, without exfoliating effects. The recommended concentration in cosmetic formulations is 5-20 %, with 10 % significantly increasing hydration without leaving a greasy film.
It is particularly recommended for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and mature skin, where it effectively combats loss of elasticity and wrinkles. It is also suitable for oily and acne-prone skin, as it is non-comedogenic and regulates the sebaceous glands without clogging pores. Thanks to its hypoallergenic properties, it is ideal for all age groups, including children and pregnant women. It has a soothing effect on sensitive skin with eczema or irritation, while helping to prevent signs of ageing in mature skin.
A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Science (2018) showed that olive squalene at a concentration of 10 % increased skin hydration by 45 % and improved skin barrier recovery by 30 % after 4 weeks of application in women with dry skin. Further research in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science (2020) reports that applying 5 % olive-derived squalene reduced lipid peroxidation in the skin by 25 % and improved elasticity by 20 % over 8 weeks, confirming its antioxidant and regenerative effects.
This plant-derived phenolic molecule is extracted from the seeds and leaves of a plant traditionally used in Ayurveda and Chinese medicine. Chemically, it is not a retinoid, although it affects several similar gene pathways. It is oil-soluble, sensitive to light and oxidation, and used in cosmetics at low concentrations in serums and emulsions.
Bakuchiol supports collagen production, helps soften wrinkles, evens out skin tone and has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Unlike retinol, it does not bind to retinoid receptors in the same way and usually causes less flaking and burning. However, this does not automatically make it risk-free. Its plant origin does not rule out an allergic reaction, and its effectiveness depends on its concentration, stability and consistent use.
We recommend it for mature, pigmented, sensitive and acne-prone skin, especially if retinoids cause significant irritation. It is also suitable for the first signs of wrinkles and loss of elasticity. For very reactive skin, it is sensible to start a few times a week. Anyone who is pregnant should consult their doctor about the safety of a specific product, even though bakuchiol is not a retinoid.
A randomised, double-blind study involving 44 participants compared 0,5 per cent bakuchiol applied twice daily with 0,5 per cent retinol applied once daily over 12 weeks. Both groups achieved comparable improvements in wrinkles and pigmentation, while bakuchiol caused less flaking and stinging (British Journal of Dermatology, 2019).
It is most commonly used at concentrations of around 0,5 to 1 per cent. It is added to the oil phase or cool-down phase and protected from light with opaque packaging. It combines well with niacinamide, peptides and antioxidants. On sensitive skin, it should not be layered with several strong exfoliants from the outset.
When using targeted skincare with active ingredients, it is best to start gradually and avoid changing several products at once during the first few weeks. This makes it easier to distinguish benefits from irritation. Visible changes in texture or tone usually require several weeks of consistent use. Daily SPF protection, gentle cleansing and a well-functioning skin barrier have a significant influence on how good and lasting the results will be.
100 % natural vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant containing a blend of alpha, beta, gamma and delta tocopherols. Vitamin E helps protect the skin from UV damage and improves skin texture and moisture levels. Our natural vitamin E contains no chemicals or solvents. Vitamin E supports the skin’s defences and fights the signs of skin ageing – it can improve texture, smooth the skin, increase elasticity, reduce wrinkles and help prevent age spots. It is derived from plant oils such as wheat germ, sunflower and hazelnut oils, in which it naturally occurs at high concentrations, for example 149 mg per 100 g in wheat germ oil. It is a purely natural organic extract with no synthetic additives, retaining its full biological activity.
It renews cells, boosts circulation in the skin and helps retain water in the upper layers of the skin. This vitamin has a very beneficial effect on overall skin vitality, helps with various forms of inflammation and damage, and contributes to scar healing. Vitamin E is the best natural antioxidant. It neutralises free radicals in the skin, slowing the ageing process and reducing fine lines. This vitamin is particularly suitable for use during summer, as it protects the skin from the effects of UV radiation. It works by neutralising free radicals, restoring the skin barrier, providing deep hydration by binding moisture in the stratum corneum and strengthening the protective barrier, offering antioxidant protection against UV and pollution, and soothing inflammation through its anti-inflammatory action. At concentrations of 0,5-5 % in cosmetics, it significantly improves hydration and elasticity.
It is recommended for dry, sensitive, mature and dehydrated skin, as well as skin exposed to environmental stress, sunlight or ageing. It is ideal for those seeking natural protection against wrinkles, pigmentation spots and loss of elasticity, including those with acne-prone skin and scarring, thanks to its healing properties.
A study by Gensler et al. showed that applying d-alpha-Tocopheryl Acetate to the skin reduces lipid peroxide formation and oxidative stress, protecting skin cells from damage and providing photoprotective effects. Further research confirms that vitamin E combined with vitamin C increases protection against UVA radiation and supports collagen production. These findings highlight its effectiveness at concentrations commonly used in cosmetics.
A small container designed for maximum precision
When choosing packaging for LucyLab, our main consideration is how well it supports the product itself. With highly concentrated formulas, we need to protect the recipe while allowing a small amount to be applied precisely where the skin needs it. That’s why we chose Injector Airless 5 ml – a compact airless cosmetic container with a premium design and an exceptionally precise applicator.
Airless system for better protection of active ingredients
Airless technology uses an internal piston that pushes the product towards the applicator as it is dispensed, without a conventional dip tube. This significantly limits repeated exposure of the cosmetic formula to air and helps protect sensitive active ingredients from oxidation. The closed system also reduces contact between the contents, hands and the external environment. Better product protection allows us to use gentle preservative systems without relying solely on intensive chemical preservation to keep the formula stable.
Precise 0.17 ml dose
Injector Airless 5 ml dispenses approximately 0.17 ml of product per press. The narrow applicator makes it easy to apply a small amount of serum or intensive treatment precisely, without scooping up the product with your fingers. Application is therefore simple, clean, hygienic and controlled – with minimal waste.
A compact format you can keep close at hand
With a diameter of approximately 23 mm and a height of 115 mm, this 5 ml airless container is slim, lightweight and practical for travel. Its small capacity is ideal for concentrated cosmetics that require only a small amount of product.
Thoughtful materials for modern cosmetics
The design mainly uses PP, PETG and PE – materials used in modern cosmetic packaging and accepted by the COSMOS standard. Individual plastic components can be recycled in line with the facilities available in your local recycling system. When choosing packaging, LucyLab follows the principles of the COSMOS and ECOCERT standards, as well as manufacturing quality supported by ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems. The result is a combination of airless protection, precise dispensing, hygienic application and premium minimalist design.
