Next-generation retinol booster for smoother, younger-looking skin
HyRetin® represents a new generation of retinol, combining intensive skin-renewing care with the hydrating properties of hyaluronic acid. It helps to target wrinkles, support collagen production, regulate excess sebum and reduce the appearance of blemishes and enlarged pores. Over time, skin looks firmer, smoother and clearer. The booster contains HyRetin® at the maximum concentration recommended by the manufacturer. Its patented technology delivers powerful anti-ageing care and targeted support for blemish-prone skin, while retaining the hydrating properties of hyaluronic acid.
The booster is not a serum to be used on its own. Each time you use it, mix 1-3 drops into one dose of the product recommended in your MyLab personalisation. The booster’s lightweight, concentrated formula blends easily with the product, adding extra targeted care without an additional step in your routine.
MyLab personalisation with a booster
Boosters are highly concentrated products designed to personalise your skincare with targeted care. They add the highly active care your skin currently needs to your chosen product, without you having to change your entire routine.
- Choose the product you want to personalise.
- MyLab will recommend a suitable booster based on your skin’s current needs.
- Mix 1-3 drops of the booster into one dose of the product in your hand, as recommended by the personalisation.
The result is care tailored specifically to your skin. Always add the booster to one dose of serum, cream, cleanser or eye-area product just before use. Do not add it directly to the entire product container.
What the booster targets
- Wrinkles and visible signs of ageing: supports collagen production, helping to strengthen the skin’s inner support network.
- Acne, excess sebum and blemishes: helps regulate oiliness, soothe inflammatory processes and limit the formation of blemishes.
- Enlarged pores and uneven texture: supports skin surface renewal and helps reduce the appearance of pores.
- Loss of firmness and elasticity: stimulates processes important for healthy, high-quality skin structure.
Who it is for
Retinol Booster is suitable for normal, dry, oily and combination skin. It is particularly intended for:
- mature skin with wrinkles and loss of firmness,
- oily and blemish-prone skin,
- skin with enlarged pores and excess sebum production,
- skin with uneven or rough texture,
- skin showing signs of ageing that needs more intensive renewing care.
Key ingredients
- HyRetin® (Sodium Retinoyl Hyaluronate): a patented next-generation retinol. In a supplier-conducted in vivo study with 14 volunteers, after 6 weeks it reduced sebum and wrinkles by 36% and the number of visible pores by 24%. It also improved skin elasticity by 34% and texture by 43%. Laboratory research also showed that it activates retinoid pathways in skin cells, supporting processes associated with skin renewal.
Texture
The lightweight, fluid, highly concentrated texture blends effortlessly with serum or cream to form a smooth, even mixture. It enriches your skincare with the intensive effects of retinol, without a greasy film, stickiness or unnecessary heaviness on the skin.
How to use
Use the retinol booster in the evening. Start by applying it 2 to 3 times a week and gradually increase frequency according to your skin’s tolerance. Add 1-3 drops of the booster to one dose of your favourite serum or cream, as recommended in your MyLab personalisation. Mix evenly in the palm of your hand and apply to the skin.
Before first use, carry out a patch test on a small area of skin. Do not use the booster on its own or add it directly to the entire product container. Do not use it in the same routine with another retinol product, AHA or BHA acids, or another exfoliating product. Use SPF protection during the day. For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes and eye area. Do not use on irritated or damaged skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use. Do not exceed the recommended dosage – more drops do not mean better results.

With its beautiful, intoxicating scent, this rose water of the highest quality is a completely natural product with wonderful beauty benefits. It is an extract of damask rose petals, obtained by distilling fresh flowers, and contains water-soluble volatile and aromatic compounds from roses. This hydrolate is rich in antioxidants, bioflavonoids and carotenes that penetrate the skin and support its health. Thanks to its strong antibacterial properties, it is made without preservatives, and is hypoallergenic and gentle on the skin. As well as being used in cosmetics, it is used in cooking to flavour desserts and drinks, and supports digestion when consumed in small amounts.
Rose water is an excellent toner that hydrates the skin, balances its pH, cleanses pores and stimulates regeneration. It has strong antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects, disinfects, prevents inflammation and tightens pores. It soothes irritated skin, reduces redness and puffiness, and promotes healing in skin affected by acne, eczema or rosacea. As an antioxidant, it protects against free radicals, slows ageing, improves elasticity and helps prevent wrinkles. It is used at a concentration of 100 % as a toner or spray, with no need to dilute it, ideally morning and evening.
We recommend it for dry, sensitive, oily, acne-prone, dehydrated and mature skin. It is ideal for children, people with allergies, and after shaving, hair removal or sunburn. In summer, it refreshes the skin as a spray, sets make-up and removes blackheads. Suitable for anyone looking for natural, alcohol-free skincare.
A study published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology (2011) showed that Rosa damascena hydrolate at a concentration of 100 % significantly reduced inflammatory markers in patients with acne by 68 % after 60 days of daily application, thanks to its phenolic compounds and essential oils (Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 2011). Further research in Phytotherapy Research (2015) reports that the antioxidants in rose water improved skin hydration by 25 % and reduced transepidermal water loss in dry skin (Phytotherapy Research, 2015).
Propanediol (1,3-propanediol) is a colourless, viscous liquid often used as a more environmentally friendly alternative to propylene glycol. It has excellent hydrating properties, making it useful in cosmetics such as creams, serums and facial toners, where it acts as a humectant and solvent. In industry, it also serves as a raw material for producing polymers and biodegradable plastics. It is well tolerated by the skin and is considered a safe, gentle ingredient. This substance is obtained by fermenting natural sources, such as corn sugar or glucose from plant materials, making it a renewable alternative to petrochemical glycols. Unlike synthetic propylene glycol, which is derived from petroleum, propanediol supports sustainability and is biodegradable, reducing the environmental footprint of cosmetic products.
Propanediol acts primarily as a humectant, hydrating the skin by binding water from its surroundings and preventing its loss through transepidermal evaporation. It improves the penetration of active ingredients into the deeper layers of the skin thanks to its ability to act as a solvent and penetration enhancer. It supports skin barrier repair by increasing hydration and elasticity without causing irritation. At concentrations of 2-10 %, it significantly improves the sensory properties of formulations, reduces the stickiness of other humectants such as glycerine, and contributes to the overall stability of emulsions.
This ingredient is ideal for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and oily skin, including acne-prone and mature skin. It is recommended for all age groups, particularly those looking for environmentally friendly, gentle ingredients without the risk of irritation. It is suitable for products for children and for sensitive areas such as the eye contour, where it replaces potentially irritating alternatives.
A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Science (2014) demonstrated that propanediol at a concentration of 5 % improved skin hydration by 25 % after 4 weeks of application compared with a placebo, as measured by corneometry. Further research in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science (2018) reports that at a concentration of 3-7 %, it increased the penetration of niacinamide into the skin by 40 %, enhancing its hydrating and barrier-supporting effects.
A multifunctional additive suitable for formulating preservative-free cosmetic products. Both ingredients have intrinsic antimicrobial properties that allow products to be formulated safely with a low potential for irritation and sensitisation. Phenethyl alcohol is an organic compound in the form of a colourless liquid. It occurs naturally in essential oils and has a pleasant floral scent. In cosmetics, it acts as a preservative and fragrance ingredient. It is found in make-up, eye make-up, personal care products, shampoos, perfumes and colognes. Phenethyl alcohol is safe in cosmetics and personal care products at concentrations of up to 1 %. At higher concentrations, it causes mild skin and eye irritation. It poses no risk to the foetus or to pregnant or breastfeeding women. It is vegan and permitted in organic cosmetics. Caprylyl glycol is obtained from coconut or palm oil, making it a naturally derived substance suitable for vegan and organic formulations.
Caprylyl glycol is used in cosmetics as a surfactant and emulsifier, improving product texture and helping water and oil combine effectively. It is a humectant and skin-conditioning agent that maintains the skin's moisture balance. It also acts as a stabiliser and preservative and enhances the antimicrobial activity of other preservatives. In fact, it is often used in preservative blends. Its multifunctional nature (moisturising and antimicrobial) makes it useful in many cosmetic products. Its mechanism of action involves moisturising, restoring the skin barrier and providing antimicrobial protection; phenethyl alcohol inhibits the growth of bacteria and yeasts at concentrations of 0,5-1 %, while caprylyl glycol retains moisture and enhances the antimicrobial effect at levels of 0,5-2 %.
It is mild and gentle on the skin and can be used in products for children's skin. Allergic reactions to caprylyl glycol are very rare, and it is very well tolerated. It is recommended for dry, sensitive, dehydrated, oily and acne-prone skin, as well as mature skin and products for children aged 0+ years. Its low sensitisation potential makes it ideal for atopic skin, eczema or rosacea, where it minimises the risk of irritation with long-term use.
A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Science (2014) demonstrated that a blend of phenethyl alcohol and caprylyl glycol at a concentration of 1 % inhibits the growth of Staphylococcus aureus by 99,9 % and Candida albicans by 95 % after 7 days of incubation, significantly extending the microbial stability of emulsions without traditional preservatives. Further research in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science (2018) confirmed that caprylyl glycol at a concentration of 1 % improves skin hydration by 25 % after 4 weeks of application in individuals with dry skin.
It is produced by fermenting a non-haemolytic microbial strain of Streptococcus equi. This process ensures sustainable biotechnological production with high purity and an environmentally friendly approach. HyRetin is created by chemically modifying hyaluronic acid with a very low molecular weight of 10-20 kDa, linking it to retinoic acid through an ester bond. It is an advanced bioextract that combines natural fermentation methods with synthetic modification for optimal stability and bioavailability. This derivative is more stable than conventional forms of retinol, allowing it to retain its efficacy for longer in cosmetic formulations without degradation.
Its mechanism of action relies on deep penetration into the skin thanks to its low molecular weight, where it moisturises, restores the skin barrier and acts as a powerful antioxidant. It stimulates the production of collagen, elastin and fibronectin, accelerates cell regeneration, gently exfoliates without irritation and soothes inflammation. Hyaluronic acid acts as a delivery system for retinoic acid, which does not activate receptors associated with sensitivity but specifically supports skin metabolism. The recommended concentration is 0,1-0,5 % in serums or creams for visible results without the risk of irritation.
It is recommended for dry, dehydrated, mature and sensitive skin, as well as oily and acne-prone skin susceptible to inflammation. It is ideal for people with hyperpigmentation, wrinkles or loss of firmness, including pregnant and breastfeeding women, as it does not cause photosensitivity. Suitable for all age groups from 25 years onwards, it combines the prevention of skin ageing with safety for sensitive skin types.
A 2022 study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology demonstrated that Sodium Retinoyl Hyaluronate at a concentration of 0,2 % increased collagen synthesis by 25 % and improved skin elasticity by 18 % after 4 weeks of application in women with photoaged skin (Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, 2022). Further research in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences (2021) confirmed that this derivative reduces the expression of inflammatory markers by 30 % without inducing erythema, unlike free retinol.
A small pack with a big role
When choosing packaging for LucyLab, we focused on more than just how it looks. Above all, we wanted to know how it could support the formula’s effectiveness, precise application and comfort in everyday use. That’s why we chose Injector Airless 10 ml for highly concentrated products – a premium airless pack with a precision applicator that combines product protection with exceptionally easy dispensing.
The airless system protects the active formula
Airless technology uses an internal piston that moves upwards as the product is used. This significantly reduces the formula’s repeated exposure to air. It helps protect sensitive active ingredients from oxidation while limiting contact between the product and the external environment. Better protection allows us to develop gentler preservation systems rather than relying solely on intensive chemical preservation.
Precision down to 0.07 ml
Injector Airless is designed for products where every dose matters. Depending on the configuration, the dispensing mechanism releases approximately 0.07 or 0.15 ml of product with each press. The narrow applicator lets you apply a serum or concentrated treatment exactly where your skin needs it – hygienically, precisely and without unnecessary waste.
Recyclable materials and considered design
The pack combines PET, PP and PE – materials widely used in modern cosmetic packaging and accepted under the COSMOS standard. The individual material components are recyclable, depending on the facilities of your local recycling system. When choosing packaging, we also follow the principles of the COSMOS and ECOCERT standards, which also emphasise a more responsible approach to packaging materials.
Technology you’ll notice with every use
Manufacturing takes place in facilities certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. For LucyLab, however, Injector Airless is above all a combination of premium design, airless protection, exceptionally precise dispensing and hygienic application – exactly how modern active skincare should work.
