A protective shield against wind, cold and frost
This luxurious protective treatment creates a delicate lipid shield on the skin, protecting it from wind, frost, cold and moisture loss. A rich blend of BIO oils, butters and beeswax intensely softens dry skin, helping it stay supple, flexible and comfortable, even on the coldest days. The formula combines BIO rose water with a high proportion of BIO avocado and macadamia oils. Shea and cocoa butters deeply soften the skin, while BIO beeswax strengthens the cream’s protective layer. Skin stays soft, supple and pleasantly cared for, even on cold days. The cream is suitable for daily winter care for the face, hands and body of children and adults.
What the cream helps with
- Wind, cold and frost: creates a protective lipid film on the skin to help reduce the effects of cold and wind. BIO beeswax helps keep the protective layer evenly in place.
- Dry, stressed skin in winter: helps prevent excessive dryness caused by cold air outdoors and heated indoor environments. Oils, butters and wax reduce water loss and help the skin retain its suppleness.
- Stressed skin on the face and hands: protects the skin from everyday winter discomfort. The rich formula is suitable before a walk, sports or a longer stay outdoors in winter.
- Sensitive and children’s skin: provides intensive nourishment and protection when exposed to wind and low temperatures. Simply apply a thin, even layer before going outdoors.
Who it’s for
This protective cream against wind and cold is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive, very dry and children’s skin. The cream is especially suited to:
- facial and hand skin exposed to harsh weather on cold, windy days,
- sensitive skin, which the cream does not irritate,
- very dry skin that cracks in winter,
- children’s skin that you want to protect before going outdoors,
- men looking for a multi-purpose cream for the face and hands in winter.
Key ingredients
- BIO avocado oil: a rich emollient oil with a high fatty acid content that softens and moisturises the skin, helping to restore comfort to dry areas. It is one of the main ingredients in the formula and gives it its intensely nourishing character.
- BIO macadamia oil: an easily spreadable oil rich in oleic and palmitoleic acids. It softens rough skin and helps it stay supple. In a study, it improved skin hydration and other measured skin parameters over four weeks.
- BIO shea butter: a rich butter that moisturises and softens the skin, helping to relieve the uncomfortable feeling of dryness. A study involving 34 children with atopic dermatitis found that it reduced itching.
- BIO beeswax: creates a delicate protective film on the skin’s surface, helping to reduce moisture loss and keep oils and butters evenly in place. In a study involving 16 volunteers, the formulation significantly reduced water loss and increased skin hydration after 28 days.
- BIO cocoa butter: gives the formula its rich texture and provides nourishing, softening care. Together with the other lipids, it helps smooth rough areas and leaves the skin supple and hydrated.
Texture
The rich, velvety cream texture softens pleasantly with the warmth of your skin and spreads easily into an even protective film. It envelops the skin in a feeling of nourishment and comfort without an unpleasant sticky residue. The elegant floral scent of ylang-ylang turns winter protection into a little ritual.
How to use
Apply a suitable amount to the skin on your face and hands shortly before going out in cold weather. If your skin is dry in winter, you can also use it as a daily face cream.

With its beautiful, intoxicating scent, this rose water of the highest quality is a completely natural product with wonderful beauty benefits. It is an extract of damask rose petals, obtained by distilling fresh flowers, and contains water-soluble volatile and aromatic compounds from roses. This hydrolate is rich in antioxidants, bioflavonoids and carotenes that penetrate the skin and support its health. Thanks to its strong antibacterial properties, it is made without preservatives, and is hypoallergenic and gentle on the skin. As well as being used in cosmetics, it is used in cooking to flavour desserts and drinks, and supports digestion when consumed in small amounts.
Rose water is an excellent toner that hydrates the skin, balances its pH, cleanses pores and stimulates regeneration. It has strong antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects, disinfects, prevents inflammation and tightens pores. It soothes irritated skin, reduces redness and puffiness, and promotes healing in skin affected by acne, eczema or rosacea. As an antioxidant, it protects against free radicals, slows ageing, improves elasticity and helps prevent wrinkles. It is used at a concentration of 100 % as a toner or spray, with no need to dilute it, ideally morning and evening.
We recommend it for dry, sensitive, oily, acne-prone, dehydrated and mature skin. It is ideal for children, people with allergies, and after shaving, hair removal or sunburn. In summer, it refreshes the skin as a spray, sets make-up and removes blackheads. Suitable for anyone looking for natural, alcohol-free skincare.
A study published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology (2011) showed that Rosa damascena hydrolate at a concentration of 100 % significantly reduced inflammatory markers in patients with acne by 68 % after 60 days of daily application, thanks to its phenolic compounds and essential oils (Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 2011). Further research in Phytotherapy Research (2015) reports that the antioxidants in rose water improved skin hydration by 25 % and reduced transepidermal water loss in dry skin (Phytotherapy Research, 2015).
The oil is extracted from macadamia nuts and is very rich in high-quality fatty acids, particularly omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, oleic, linolenic, linoleic and palmitoleic acids. It contains vitamins A, E and B, phosphorus, calcium, iron and zinc. It is a powerful antioxidant that prevents damage to cell membranes. Its composition is very similar to the skin's natural oils, so it does not irritate the skin and is also suitable for very sensitive skin and children's skin. This plant oil comes from the nuts of the Macadamia ternifolia tree, which grows in Australia and Oceania, where it is cold-pressed to preserve its bioactive compounds. Thanks to its high stability, it is used in organic cosmetics as a pure extract without chemical additives, supporting the skin's natural protection against environmental factors.
It absorbs easily without leaving a greasy film on the skin. Its combination of unsaturated fatty acids and zinc makes it excellent for softening the skin and highly effective for ageing skin. It can help with the healing of skin conditions and burns and has regenerative properties. This precious oil also protects against the effects of harmful substances and UV radiation. It works by moisturising and restoring the skin's lipid barrier thanks to palmitoleic acid (up to 20-25 %), which mimics the skin's sebum. As an antioxidant, it neutralises free radicals through vitamin E and polyphenols, soothes irritation and supports cell regeneration. The recommended concentration in cosmetics is 5-20 % for hydrating serums and creams.
It is recommended for dry, dehydrated, sensitive, mature and acne-prone skin, where it strengthens the barrier without clogging pores. Its gentle texture also makes it suitable for children's skin and skin prone to eczema. At low concentrations, it regulates sebum production in oily skin. A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Science (2012) showed that macadamia oil at a concentration of 10 % increased skin hydration by 28 % after 4 weeks of application and improved elasticity by 15 % in women with dry skin. Further research in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences (2018) confirmed that palmitoleic acid from the oil supports collagen synthesis and protects against UVB damage, reducing inflammatory markers by 22 %.
It is obtained from the stones of this fruit. It has a soft, creamy texture. Avocado butter is rich, luxurious and nourishing. It improves hydration and regenerates the skin. It is easily absorbed and excellent for dry and damaged skin, and also helps in the treatment of eczema and psoriasis. It is hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitive skin and the skin around the eyes. It gives the skin vitality, radiance and a healthy appearance. It contains lecithin and unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins A, B1, B2, E and D. It helps protect the skin against signs of ageing and wrinkles. The lecithin in its composition supports skin hydration and repair by locking in moisture and acting at a cellular level, while unsaturated fatty acids maintain elasticity and prevent water evaporation. The vitamins contribute to regeneration and antioxidant protection, making the butter widely useful in natural cosmetics for stabilising the skin barrier.
Avocado butter works primarily by moisturising and restoring the skin barrier, thanks to its high content of unsaturated fatty acids, which maintain skin moisture and elasticity. As an emulsifier and stabiliser, lecithin strengthens cell membranes, supports regeneration and protects against water loss. Vitamin E acts as a powerful antioxidant, neutralising free radicals and reducing inflammation, while B vitamins (B1, B2) contribute to hydration and the regulation of sebaceous glands. The butter also has soothing effects, reducing irritation and supporting healing. The recommended concentration in cosmetic formulations is 5-20 % for creams and massage products, where it effectively improves emulsions without clogging pores.
It is particularly recommended for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and damaged skin, including skin affected by eczema, psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. It is also suitable for mature skin showing signs of ageing, where it protects against wrinkles, and for the skin around the eyes thanks to its hypoallergenic properties. Unsaturated fatty acids help with inflammatory conditions such as acne or psoriasis, while B vitamins regulate sebum production, which is beneficial for those with oily skin. Lecithin improves the absorption of active ingredients, making it ideal for all skin types in need of nourishment and protection.
A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Science (2012) showed that applying avocado butter at a concentration of 10 % improved skin hydration by 25 % and reduced transepidermal water loss by 18 % after 4 weeks in subjects with dry skin. Further research in the International Journal of Dermatology (2001) reports that unsaturated fatty acids from avocado, applied topically, supported collagen synthesis and improved skin elasticity by 15 % in patients with photoageing. These data confirm its effectiveness in barrier regeneration and antioxidant protection.
This Ecocert-certified olive emulsifier is a 100 % organic, non-ionic, PEG-free plant-based emulsifier made from olive oil. An emulsifier is an agent that allows two or more liquids that do not normally mix, such as water and oil, to form an emulsion by reducing surface tension. It has excellent moisturising properties and helps soften the skin. It reduces moisture loss and is hypoallergenic. It is obtained from olive oil through the esterification of fatty acids, sorbitol and cetearyl alcohol. Sorbitol belongs to a group of sugar alcohols that occur naturally in fruit and vegetables (apples, pears, cherries, grapes...). It is a natural sweetener. Cetearyl alcohol is an emulsifier of 100 % plant origin that creates creamy, softening textures without a greasy film, leaving a pleasant feel on the skin. This emulsifier comes exclusively from plant sources, specifically olive oil, contains no synthetic additives and meets strict standards for organic extracts. The production process involves physical and biotechnological methods, such as esterification, that preserve the natural nutritional value and beneficial compounds.
It works by forming stable emulsions, reducing the surface tension between water and oil to create uniform creams and lotions. Its olive fatty acid content provides intensive moisture, restores the skin's lipid barrier by mimicking its natural structure and reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL). Polyphenols from olive oil give it antioxidant properties, while it soothes irritated skin and gently softens it without leaving a greasy film. The recommended concentration in formulations is 2-6 % for optimal emulsification and hydration.
It is recommended for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and mature skin, where it effectively restores the barrier and retains moisture. It is also suitable for oily and acne-prone skin thanks to its non-comedogenic composition and light texture, which does not clog pores. Ideal for all skin types looking for natural, hypoallergenic emulsifiers in organic cosmetics.
A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Science (2015) showed that olive ester-based emulsifiers at a concentration of 4 % reduced TEWL by 28 % after 4 weeks of application to dry skin and improved hydration by 35 % (compared with the control). Further research in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science (2018) reports that Cetearyl Olivate and Sorbitan Olivate at a concentration of 3-5 % increase skin elasticity by 22 % and support skin barrier repair in individuals with atopic dermatitis.
Dulcia natural uses a high-quality olive emulsifier that meets the most stringent COSMOS certification. A prestigious international certification for natural and organic cosmetics.
Beeswax is a natural product containing more than 280 active substances: hydrocarbons, fatty acid alkyl esters, free acids and proteins. Beeswax is rich in vitamin A, with just 100 grams of wax containing 4 096 units of vitamin A. Vitamin A is important for the growth and renewal of certain skin tissues. It is a natural product produced by bees from wax glands on their hind legs and used to build honeycombs. Organic beeswax is pure, free from contaminants and pesticides, and sourced from organic apiaries. Synthetic versions also exist, mimicking its structure for cosmetic purposes, but the organic extract retains the full spectrum of natural bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, chrysin and squalene.
It helps maintain moisture in the skin. A lack of it can cause skin dryness, loss of elasticity and itching. It is also very effective at tackling fine lines. Organic beeswax is a pure, uncontaminated product that retains its healing properties. It works wonders on skin injuries and conditions. Beeswax has antioxidant and antiseptic properties, helping to regenerate and soften the skin. It revitalises and warms the skin, stimulating circulation. It works by moisturising through a hydrophobic barrier that minimises transepidermal water loss (TEWL), restoring the skin barrier, providing antioxidant protection through carotenoids and flavonoids, soothing irritation and offering mild antiseptic properties. In cosmetics, it is used at concentrations of 1-5 % for emulsification and to form a protective film.
We recommend it for dry, sensitive, cracked, dehydrated and mature skin, as well as acne-prone and eczema-prone skin. It is ideal for people with atopic eczema or psoriasis, for nappy rash, or to help prevent dry skin in children and adults. Non-comedogenic, it does not clog pores and is suitable for oily, dehydrated skin. Suitable for all age groups, including pregnant women, provided there is no allergy.
A study published in the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology (2014) showed that a mixture of honey, beeswax and olive oil applied three times a day for 4 weeks significantly improved itching and fungal skin infections in patients with dermatitis. Further research in the Korean Journal of Internal Medicine (2013) confirmed the antioxidant effects of beeswax alcohols in protecting the liver, supporting its systemic benefits. A clinical study from 2014 demonstrated reduced joint pain and stiffness in 23 patients with osteoarthritis following wax application.
This pale yellow fat is obtained by pressing fermented, dried, roasted and crushed cocoa beans and pulp, known as the food of the gods. This natural product is rich in vitamin E and provides minerals and other substances, including manganese, zinc, copper, theobromine, iron, chromium, magnesium, potassium, and omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids. Saturated fatty acids make up most of its composition (57 – 64 %), giving it exceptional emollient properties. In traditional medicine, it was used for various purposes, from wound healing to pain relief, and today it is a staple ingredient in natural cosmetics thanks to its purity and minimal processing.
Its main action is to intensely moisturise and restore the skin barrier, with saturated fatty acids such as stearic and palmitic acid forming a protective film that prevents moisture loss. It also acts as an antioxidant thanks to vitamin E and polyphenols, which neutralise free radicals and protect against oxidative stress. It supports collagen production, helping to prevent wrinkles and other signs of ageing. It soothes irritated skin, reduces inflammation and speeds up regeneration. At concentrations of 5-20 % in emulsions, it significantly improves hydration and elasticity. A clinical study showed that applying a formulation containing 10 % increased skin hydration by 25 % after 4 weeks (Journal of Cosmetic Science, 2018).
It is particularly recommended for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and mature skin, where it effectively tackles flaking and loss of elasticity. It is ideal for skin affected by atopic dermatitis, eczema and burns, where it soothes itching and supports healing. It is also suitable for oily skin at low concentrations, as a lip balm or applied locally to dry areas, without clogging pores. It is not recommended in high concentrations for acne-prone skin because of its comedogenicity. Traditional uses include treating dry lips, rheumatism and insect bites, as documented in historical records from Amazonian cultures.
Another study confirmed that cocoa butter at a concentration of 15 % reduced transepidermal water loss by 30 % and improved elasticity by 18 % in women with dry skin after 6 weeks (International Journal of Cosmetic Science, 2015). These polyphenolic compounds contribute to its anti-inflammatory effect, with a 22 % reduction in inflammation in in vitro tests (Food Chemistry, 2012).
Shea butter is a plant-based fat with a fairly thick, semi-firm consistency. It is obtained from the nuts of the shea tree, also known as karité. This tree grows in sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in the western part of the continent, where the nuts are gathered by hand by women in traditional communities. Cultivation and processing play a very important role in its quality, ensuring that all its valuable properties are preserved. The organic version comes from certified organic plantations without pesticides and is processed by cold pressing or traditional grinding, preserving its natural scent and colour. It contains a high proportion of vitamins A, E and F. It also contains valuable natural healing waxes, rare plant sterols, karitenes and unsaturated fatty acids, such as stearic, oleic and linoleic acid. Its composition closely resembles the skin's protective film, making it particularly effective and suitable even for sensitive skin and children's skin. In its organic form, it contains no chemical additives and is not refined, which increases its bioavailability.
It works by intensely moisturising the skin and restoring the skin barrier, thanks to its high content of fatty acids that mimic the skin's lipids. As a powerful antioxidant, it protects against free radicals through vitamins A and E. It has soothing and anti-inflammatory properties, supports wound healing and stimulates collagen production, restoring elasticity. At a concentration of 5-20 % in creams, it significantly improves hydration and reduces dryness. Shea butter conditions, moisturises and rejuvenates the skin. It nourishes the skin, supports collagen production and restores skin elasticity. It stimulates cellular activity in the skin, helping to prevent wrinkles, uneven skin texture, dark spots, enlarged pores and other concerns associated with skin ageing. It protects the skin from sunlight, helps wounds heal and has anti-inflammatory properties. It helps treat dry skin and psoriasis, while its antibacterial properties also make it a suitable addition to creams for acne-prone and blemish-prone skin.
Recommended for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and mature skin, as well as children with atopic skin. Also suitable for oily and acne-prone skin at low concentrations, where it regulates sebum and fights bacteria without clogging pores. Ideal for eczema, psoriasis or burns, where it soothes irritation.
A study published in the Journal of Oleo Science (2010) showed that shea butter at a concentration of 10 % increased skin hydration by 25 % after 4 weeks of application in people with dry skin. Further research in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences (2018) reports that triterpene esters from shea butter inhibit inflammatory mediators by 40 % in vitro, supporting the healing of acne. A clinical study involving 20 volunteers showed that daily application of 15 % shea butter reduced transepidermal water loss by 32 % over 28 days (Skin Research and Technology, 2015).
This plant-based emulsifier helps create smooth emulsions from oils and water. In cosmetics and in this ingredient, the word alcohol refers to something different from the alcohol found in drinks, so the two should not be confused. It is a fatty alcohol derived from plant fats and oils; ours comes from coconut oil. Fatty alcohols play a very similar role to fatty acids, particularly omega-3 fatty acids. It has excellent moisturising, softening and hydrating properties. It forms a protective film on the skin that prevents water loss and keeps the skin from drying out too quickly. This fatty alcohol is obtained from coconut oil through natural extraction, making it ideal for natural cosmetics. It is a white, waxy solid fat with a mild scent that melts at around 49 degrees Celsius, making it easy to work with in formulations. Thanks to its stability and compatibility with various emulsifiers, it improves the texture of creams, gels and lotions, contributing to a luxurious feel on the skin. Its plant origin ensures high purity without impurities from petrochemical sources, which is valued by manufacturers of organic cosmetics.
Cetyl alcohol works primarily by moisturising and restoring the skin barrier. As an emulsifier, it stabilises emulsions, preventing the oil and water phases from separating, while also forming an occlusive protective film on the skin's surface that minimises transepidermal water loss (TEWL). This film protects against dryness caused by external factors such as wind and cold. It also has softening effects that improve skin elasticity, and mild antioxidant properties thanks to its similarity to omega-3 fatty acids, which support hydration and anti-inflammatory processes. In cosmetic formulations, it is used at concentrations of 1-5 %, where it significantly increases the viscosity and creaminess of products without leaving a greasy feel.
We recommend cetyl alcohol for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and mature skin, where it helps combat moisture loss and supports barrier repair. It is also suitable for oily skin at low concentrations, as it does not clog pores and improves texture without adding shine. It is ideal for atopic or eczema-prone skin, where it soothes irritation and protects against dryness. In haircare, it is valued for restoring smoothness to dry, brittle hair.
A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Science (2004) showed that cetyl alcohol at concentrations of 2-4 % reduced transepidermal water loss by 25 % after 4 weeks of application to dry skin, significantly improving hydration and elasticity. Further research in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science (2012) confirmed that, in combination with emulsifiers, it increases emulsion stability and supports lipid barrier repair by 30 % in people with impaired skin function.
This natural emulsifying ingredient is derived from a combination of sorbitol, a sugar alcohol, and fatty acids from sunflower oil. It is a biodegradable ingredient of natural origin, approved under the COSMOS standard and suitable for eco-friendly cosmetics. It has a wax-like structure and comes in ivory-coloured flakes with a melting point between 65 and 75°C. Its dual chemical nature combines a lipophilic part (fatty acids from oil) and a hydrophilic part (the polyalcohol group of sorbitol), allowing it to act as an effective bridge between oil and water components in cosmetic formulations.
This ingredient works by forming stable water-in-oil emulsions that mimic the skin’s natural lipid barrier. It improves hydration and helps the skin retain moisture, restoring and strengthening its protective function. At a concentration of 5 to 7,5 per cent, it acts as a primary emulsifier, while at lower levels of 1 to 2 per cent, it works as a co-emulsifier. Its moisturising action is supported by emollient properties that leave the skin feeling soft and comfortable without greasiness. The ingredient also improves the absorption of other active ingredients by creating an ordered crystal structure within the emulsion.
This ingredient is ideal for people with dry, sensitive or dehydrated skin. Its gentle, non-irritating nature also makes it suitable for very sensitive and young skin. Research findings confirm its safety and effectiveness in cosmetic applications. It is non-comedogenic, meaning it does not clog pores or contribute to acne. Products containing this ingredient have natural-origin credentials, are suitable for vegans and meet halal cosmetic requirements.
Clinical experience has shown that emulsions formulated with 8 per cent of this ingredient in combination with a 50 per cent oil phase provide a soft, rich texture that absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy feel. Enriched formulations with a higher oil content (60 per cent) and 10 per cent of this ingredient create richer creams that absorb at a moderate rate and are suitable for caring for dry skin in winter. Its ability to improve resistance to being washed off by water makes it particularly suitable for sunscreens and water-resistant cosmetic products.
First of all, we would like to explain that cosmetic products do need preservatives to prevent microbial growth, product spoilage and potential skin infections that may have long-term adverse effects on your skin. Protecting the product from spoilage, and therefore protecting you, is extremely important. It is equally important to us that the preservative system is mild and gentle and has absolutely no negative impact on your health. Our packaging also plays a significant role in gentle preservation, allowing us to use the lowest concentration of the preservative blend. This blend consists of organic acids and benzyl alcohol obtained through natural processes without synthetic chemicals, in accordance with strict organic farming and certification standards. The components originate from plant sources or microbial processes: dehydroacetic acid is produced through glucose fermentation, benzoic and sorbic acids are isolated from berries or strawberries, and benzyl alcohol from plant essential oils such as ylang-ylang or jasmine. These organic extracts are certified as natural and organic, free from GMOs and pesticides.
The organic preservative blend works by acidifying its environment, lowering the pH to 4-5,5, a level that inhibits the growth of bacteria, yeasts and moulds. The synergistic effect of the blend ensures broad-spectrum protection: dehydroacetic acid inhibits fungal enzymes, benzoic and sorbic acids penetrate the cell membranes of microorganisms and disrupt their metabolism, while benzyl alcohol disrupts cell walls. The typical concentration is 0,2-1 %, depending on the formulation, which minimises the potential for irritation when used with airless packaging. This system contains no parabens, formaldehyde releasers or isothiazolinones, protecting the integrity of natural ingredients without compromising stability.
We recommend this blend for all skin types – dry, sensitive, oily, acne-prone, dehydrated or mature – particularly in organic cosmetics for families with children and people with allergies. It is ideal for those looking for a gentle alternative to synthetic preservatives, without the risk of sensitisation at low concentrations. A study published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science (2014) confirms that a blend of dehydroacetic acid (0,5 %), benzoic acid (0,3 %) and benzyl alcohol (0,2 %) achieved a 99,9 % reduction in Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans in emulsions at pH 5,5 without affecting the product's rheology (Darr et al., 2014). Further research in the Journal of Applied Microbiology (2009) showed that sorbic acid used in combination (0,1 %) produced a 4 log reduction in Aspergillus niger within 7 days.
Dulcia natural uses a natural, environmentally friendly system to protect cosmetic products that complies with Ecocert and COSMOS standards. It has been developed to reduce the risk of bacterial contamination. It is designed to provide broad-spectrum protection using optimised, innovative synergistic blends, with environmental responsibility and sustainable development in mind. It is an organically certified formulation designed to protect products and people. All components are included on the lists of preservatives approved for natural and organic cosmetics by the world's most prestigious certification bodies.

Ylang-ylang oil is obtained by steam distillation of the flowers of Cananga Odorata, an evergreen tropical tree native to southern Asia, particularly the Philippines. The name comes from the Filipino word alang-ylang, which literally refers to flowers that "hang" or "flutter in the wind". It is a natural essential oil with a pale yellow, oily appearance, containing a range of valuable compounds from the plant material.
Function
Ylang-ylang oil works in several ways. Primarily, it moisturises the skin and supports hydration, helping to maintain natural moisture levels in the skin's outermost layer. It also regulates sebaceous gland activity, balancing sebum production. It has a balancing action: it reduces sebum production in oily skin while providing the hydration it needs. The oil also has antiseptic properties and soothes skin irritation. It contains antioxidants that protect the skin against free radicals and ageing.
Recommendations
Ylang-ylang oil is versatile and suitable for all skin types. It is particularly recommended for oily and combination skin, where its regulating properties help balance sebum production. Its soothing and hydrating effects also make it useful in caring for sensitive and dehydrated skin. Mature skin benefits from its antioxidant properties, which help prevent visible signs of ageing. Thanks to its gentle, balancing action, it can be an ideal step in the skincare routine of those looking for a natural way to balance their skin.
Bicarbonate of soda was known as far back as ancient Egypt, around 3500 BC, where it was used in the form of natron, a natural mixture of sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate, mainly for mummifying the dead. Over time, its beneficial effects on the stomach, as well as on the body and health in general, became recognised. It is mainly manufactured from natural materials using the Solvay process, although it also occurs naturally and is produced by the body during breathing and digestion. Bicarbonate of soda has excellent skin-cleansing properties. It reduces inflammation and removes dead skin cells. It is great for tackling blackheads, as it can thoroughly cleanse pores. Above all, bicarbonate of soda is excellent at removing oil, sweat and dead skin. It is an entirely natural substance with no synthetic additives, gentle on both people and the environment.
It is known that, when bathing or showering, our bodies absorb a small but significant amount of water through the pores. Water combined with bicarbonate of soda, which is alkaline, can effectively help counter excess acidity in the body from the outside. Thanks to its antibacterial and antifungal properties, bicarbonate of soda removes underarm body odour as well as odours associated with fungal infections. Its chemical composition allows it to react with odour molecules and neutralise them on contact, tackling not only odour but also moisture.
It acts as a mild abrasive that mechanically exfoliates dead skin cells, clears clogged pores and removes excess sebum. Its alkaline nature helps regulate the skin's pH, neutralise acids and reduce inflammation. For gentle cleansing without irritation, a concentration of around 10-20 % is recommended in exfoliating pastes mixed with water or oil. It absorbs impurities and sweat, helping to restore the skin's balance. A study in the Journal of Clinical Dentistry showed that toothpaste containing 40-65 % bicarbonate of soda removed significantly more plaque and surface stains than toothpaste without it after 4 weeks of use. Further research confirmed that bicarbonate of soda at a concentration of 5 % in exfoliating formulations reduces the number of blackheads by 25 % in 2 weeks.
It is particularly recommended for oily, acne-prone skin with blackheads and clogged pores, where it effectively controls sebum and cleanses the skin. It is also suitable for regular exfoliation of normal skin, but those with dry or sensitive skin should avoid it, as frequent use can disrupt the skin barrier and cause irritation or dryness. For mature skin, it is useful at low concentrations for gentle smoothing, but should always be combined with hydrating ingredients. Do not use daily; ideally, use in scrubs 1-2x a week.
Small packaging with maximum protection
When choosing packaging for LucyLab samples, we weren’t looking for a smaller version of the standard pack. We needed packaging that could keep a small amount of cosmetics in the best possible condition until it was opened. That’s why we use single-use cosmetic sachets with a volume of 2–5 ml, made from high-barrier, three-layer PET / ALU / PE laminate.
Three layers, each with its own purpose
The packaging consists of 12 µm PET / 9 µm aluminium foil / 75 µm PE, with a surface weight of approximately 114 g/m². PET gives the pack strength and dimensional stability, PE forms a flexible inner layer suitable for reliable heat sealing, and the aluminium foil provides the key barrier. It blocks light and UV radiation and effectively protects the contents from oxygen and moisture. For sensitive cosmetic formulations, the sachet is a small protective vault.
One dose. One opening.
Each cosmetic sachet is hermetically sealed and intended for single use. The product remains untouched by fingers and the outside environment until opened. Once open, simply squeeze the required amount directly into your palm or onto your skin. The result is easy, clean and hygienic application without a dispenser or additional components.
The ideal way to try LucyLab
The 2–5 ml volume is practical as a sample of face cream, serum or another cosmetic product. The sachet is exceptionally light and flat and takes up very little space, so you can keep it in your handbag, wash bag or hand luggage.
Minimum material, maximum performance
Multi-layer PET/ALU/PE laminate provides exceptional protection while keeping packaging weight very low. As the individual layers are firmly bonded together, this type of laminate cannot currently be easily recycled in most standard recycling systems. Its environmental benefit lies mainly in its efficient use of materials and low weight. PET, aluminium and PE are among the materials also used in packaging assessed according to COSMOS and ECOCERT principles; COSMOS also takes multi-layer materials and free sample packaging into particular consideration.

“Used last winter, great cream for children too, on the greasier side. If it hadn’t separated into oil and the rest after a month, even when stored correctly, it would be great... I’ll try it again and see...”

Hello, I’m looking for a cream for my adult son. He works in cold, draughty conditions and has problems with this, mainly on his face, which has become sensitive. Perhaps a cream that forms a protective film on the face. Thank you very much. Have a lovely day.

Hello. I have oily skin, but it’s quite sensitive to the cold. In winter, I always end up looking like a little pink pig. Is this cream suitable for daily use on oily skin, to help me avoid unwanted redness on my cheeks? Thank you very much for your reply, and I hope you have a lovely rest of the day.

Hello, I’d like to ask whether the formula for the wind and cold cream has changed. It used to be a wonderful, rich, fragrant little cream, but unfortunately the latest one I received has a completely different consistency and doesn’t smell as lovely. Is it possible to buy the unchanged, original cream? Thank you, and I hope you have a lovely day.
Dakujem a zelam Vam pekny den.
